A beary merry Christmas

Hi all,

I hope you are enjoying your weekend. I helped on a stall for our local toddler group at the church fete this morning and then we went out to make the most of some sun for a change. Martha has finally got better and Daisy didn't get it so badly, so that's good.

Over at StampFairy World the wonderful DT have set up a surprise birthday blog hop for Gerda's birthday. How kind of them. The projects they have made are fab and there are a few prizes of images too. Happy birthday Gerda. Well, the challenge at Stamp Fairy this week is a Christmas Easel card. So, I thought I would give it a go as I had just bought this cute little image, called Lenny Christmas 3 and I wanted an excuse to use him. The papers are by Nitwits and the embellishments are from my stash.

On the move

Hi all,
I meant to scehdule this but completely forgot. Martha's tooth finally came through on Monday, but then she picked up some illness and has had a high temperature and not been herself. Hopefully she is getting better now, but she had to share it with Daisy first!
It's time for another showcase of Digital Delights images. This cutie is called Moving House Myrtle. How I wish it was this easy to move house. The papers are by K and Co, the flowers are by wild orchid and the card corner is by ecrafts. I hope you have a wonderful day.

I'm still hopeful!

Hi all,

I hope you had a good weekend. We made the most of the little bit of sunshine we had and visited a few play parks and went swimming. Martha is teething so she and I are getting up at 5am at the moment. I just hope it stops soon.

It's time for another challenge at Incy Wincy and this week we would like you to include a shaker. We are sponsored by

who are offering 3 digis to the winner. I have used On the beach by Karen's Doodles as I am still hopeful that we will have a summer. I made the sentiment (by Digital Delights) into the shaker part. Please check out the rest of the projects by the fab DT.

Where has the sun gone?

Hi all,

Well, it's past the middle of the week, yippee. Daisy had her graduation ceremony from preschool yesterday. It was lovely. They all wore hats and cloaks and were presented with certificates and did some action rhymes. They are having a little party tomorrow and then they are off until September when they all start school. There will only be 8 in her class, which is great for Daisy, as she is quite quiet and I would hate her to be overlooked.

Well, it's time for me to show another Digital Delights card. In celebration of our wonderful summer, I have used Grillin George, BBQ accessories, BBQ cooking set, a sentiment and Grillin and Chillin papers all by Digital Delights. I would like to think we could have at least one BBQ before Autumn arrives, but I'm not sure about it. I think I might give this to hubby as, like many men, he likes to rule the BBQ.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

Scrapalicious USA - anything summer

Digi Design House - summer
Lollipop crafts - anything goes

Polkadoodles - Long hot summer

Where shall we put it all?

Hi all,

Today, our sea freight boxes arrive. Daisy is so excited as she can't wait to have all her toys and things back. I'm not sure where we are going to put it all. So, if you don't hear from me for a little while, I'll be surrounded by boxes desperately trying to find space for it.

This week, Creative Craft are being sponsored by Love to Stamp, who are offering the winner 1 little darlings stamp and stitchy bear digital stamps who are offering digis. Our theme is 3D it - so decoupage or just lots of layers on your project would be fab. I have used a wonderful flower digi stamp by Glitterbabe and decoupaged it. My second card uses the Little Darlings stamp called Go Girl Go. I went a bit distressed/vintage for this and used a few layers for depth. I have seen these card corners used on a few blogs and just had to buy some and I love them!

Please check out the rest of the DT's projects.

Green and black

Hi all,

I'm sorry I'm a few hours late for this, but we had a terrible thunder storm on yesterday which blew up the power adapter to the wireless internet hub. So, we had no internet until just now when hubby came home from work having bought a new adapter. It has been raining all day today too. Not nice.

At Incy Wincy there is a new challenge, which is sponsored by Sassy Studio. We would like to see black, white and one other colour on your projects. I have used Cheerful Chelsea by Sassy Studios. The black and white paper is cut from some wrapping paper I thought would be great on cards. Please check out the rest of the fab projects by the DT.

Oh happy day

Happy 1st birthday Martha!
Hi all,

I hope you are having a good week. This afternoon, we are having a small tea party for Martha's birthday and so yesterday Daisy and I made a chocolate cake with green icing (Daisy's choice!) I just hope Martha doesn't try to eat the candle. I'm sure she'll have more fun with the paper than the presents she will get, it should be a good day.

Here is my first card for Digital Delights DT. This week, I have used Princess Shona. I think I must be hanging around with my 4 year old girl too much, but I immediately thought she needed a pink castle. I made the template myself and added wild orchid flowers. My target audience was happy with it - Daisy has ordered one for her birthday but with Princess Shona wearing purple!

A new challenge is starting at Delightful Challenges, so please hop over and check out the new theme.

A quick one from me

Hi all,
Just a quick one from me to give some exciting news. I have been chosen to be on the Digital Delights DT. I have known for a few days and haven't stopped doing my happy dance yet! My first official card for them will be posted on Thursday and I am having such fun with all the fab images and am looking forward to working with all the talented members of the DT.
Also, thank you to my new follower. I hope you like what you see. I'm sorry I can't get to your blog yet as I'm not sure who you are as my followers have disappeared, but I will be with you as soon as I can.

Blast off!

Hi all,
It's Monday and I hope you're all ready to start a new week. I really wish this summer would start as my washing is getting wetter on the line than in the machine. Hopefully it will get better when the school holidays start in a couple of weeks (or is that wishful thinking?).
It's time for another Incy Wincy challenge and this week our wonderful teamie Heather has produced a sketch for you to follow. Here it is:
We are being sponsored by the fab Dustin Pike and Doodle Dragon Studios, who gave
the DT some of his fab cupcake images to play with. I chose the rocket one as I thought it would be great for boy's birthdays and Daisy has lots of friends with birthdays coming up. I had originally used black card for the middle section, but I came across this free magazine paper and thought it would be perfect, so I had to take the card apart and change it. The sentiment is computer generated and by little old me! Please check out the rest of the projects by the DT.

Fancy a cupcake?

Hi all,

I hope you had a good weekend. Today, hubby went to a car boot sale to sell all of our bric a brac (or junk!) we have sorted out from the loft. I figured that if we haven't used it for 2 years, we don't really need it. He did very well and the couple of boxes he came back with will now go to the charity shop. The girls and I went swimming this morning and to the park this afternoon, so a lovely day was had by all.

I have two more cards for you using images from Jen's Digi stamps. Jen is adding new images all the time, so go and check them all out. The first card uses baby bug with cupcake. I'm imagining this is what Martha will look like on Thursday as it is her birthday and we're making her a chocolate cake which may be as big as she is.

The second card uses flower snail. I immediately thought of a new home card (not sure why), but kept it simple as I wanted to have the image as the star.

Only 12 more to go!

Hi all,

It's nearly Friday. Yippee! Daisy was at preschool all day and so Martha and I spent a lot of the time playing. I'll miss it when I actually have to work in the day! Martha has been teething so she's not too happy and wants lots of cuddles. She has about 8 now, so only 12 more to go. When the girls were in bed, I did an exercise DVD. I was shocked a couple of weeks ago when I stood on the scales, so I bought 4 DVD's and now I'm determined to lose a bit of weight. It just takes too long for me as I like to see instant results, but I also like my food too much.

My sister in law's birthday is next week, and as she lives in Berlin I thought I should get a move on and make a card as it will take a little while to get there. I have used the fab sketch at Sweet sketch Wednesday. The image is Madison gift by Charmed cards and crafts and the papers are by dovecraft.

Got the blues again!

Hi all,

I wish the weather would make up it's mind what it is going to do. We must have had at least 3 seasons in one day today. We went to a new starters meeting at the Primary school tonight to learn about what Daisy will be doing when she starts in September. I can't believe she's that old!

Anyway, I decided to make a card with this fab flower image from Aspire to Thrive. I've made it blue again - I'm not sure why. The papers are by Imaginisce. I love these designs and must get some more soon.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

Hooked on craft - show us your flowers!

Try it on Tuesday - Flower power

Some flowers for you

Hi all,

Well, Martha enjoyed her first day at nursery. She seems to have settled better than at her kindy in Sydney, which is a relief. Daisy and I planted some seeds this morning and got her raised bed ready to plant the seedlings in. I know we are a bit late for this, but now the garden is nearly all tidy again, Daisy wanted to plant something.

It's time for another Creative Craft Challenge. Some of you may know that we have had many problems with posts being deleted from our challenge blog, so this is our new blog and blog address. Sandra has done a fantastic job getting this up and running, so please pop over and follow us. Anyway, on with this fortnight's theme, which is pretty blossoms. We are sponsored by Meljen's designs. I love this image. The papers are by prima, which I have distressed. I also did a bit of doodling in the corner. I have tried to tie a bow with this fab ribbon, but it's not as good as those on some blogs. I think I need to take some lessons. Please hop over and see the fab projects from the rest of the DT.

Something sweet

Hi all,

I hope you had a good weekend. Sunday was really sunny, so we spent the time at the park, in the garden and at a local fete. Martha is off to nursery this morning, so let's see how we all cope!

It's time for another challenge at Incy Wincy. We would like to thank everyone who joined in our 100th challenge celebration blog hop, and keep checking to see if you are one of our many winners. This week, we are sponsored by Digi Doodle shop and the theme is Sugar and Sweets. So, we would like to see any types of sweet treats on your projects. I have used Candy Christmas by Digi Doodle shop, and have made a (whispering) Christmas card. The papers are by Summertime designs and the embellishments are from my stash. I wanted to use some white 3D paint for the snow, but it isn't with me at the moment, so when it arrives, I think I will add it to this card. Please check out the rest of the projects from the fab DT.

What would you wish for?

Hi all,

I'm so glad it is Friday. I've been so sleepy today. No idea why, but I will be pleased to get some sleep soon. Martha had her last visit to her new nursery today before she starts properly next Monday. I wanted to get her settled in nursery before I think about going back to work in September (I am hoping to do some supply teaching a couple of days a week) as she really didn't like her day a week in nursery in Sydney. It gave Daisy and I a couple of hours to do things that Daisy wanted to do. It was nice to spend a bit of time just the two of us, although I did miss Martha.

This week, stamp Fairy have a Teddy bear's picnic recipe - a bear image, 3 flowers, 2 ribbons (one ribbon is hiding under the sentiment and flowers) and one sentiment. I decided to make a ribbon flower, but spent ages trying to find a needle. Most of my sewing stuff is still on the boat somewhere on its way here. I have used a sweet Fairy Linda image - I love her (well, I love all of these images). I have used a sketch from Sweet Sketch Wednesday, which I will be using again I think.
