Does anything rhyme with orange?

Hi all,
This is another scheduled post. I bet you are quite happy that there hasn't been much waffle here for a while!
Over at Creative Craft this fortnight, we are sponsored by Kenny K. We have a lovely sketch for you and here it is:
I have used Luscious Linda by Kenny K. I thought the image needed a bold colour, so I went for orange again. I followed the sketch pretty much as is, although I didn't add a sentiment, as I prefer not to on most of my cards.
See you Thursday.

One more done

Hi all,
I hope you had a lovely weekend. I was planning to get some crafting done, but I have a horrible cold and am aching all over, so as soon as the girls were in bed, I collapsed on the sofa not wanting to move at all. Hopefully, this will go soon.
Over at Incy Wincy this week, we are sponsored by Limited Runs, owned by our teamie Nikki. We have a sketch for you, designed by another teamie, Samantha. Here it is:
I have used a wonderful image by Limited Runs. I am still hoping to get a few Christmas cards done throughout the year, so that I don't have the mad panic on the first of December. This is number 3, so not a lot, but 3 is better than none! The papers are more magazine freebies and I have had the snowflake embellishment for years. I couldn't bring myself to use it, but I think it goes well here. Have a lovely day and I'll see you tomorrow.

Fancy an apple?

Hi all,
Wow, Thursday already. Martha is feeling a bit better now, although she is still quite tired. I am off to book club tonight. One of Daisy's friend's mum runs it and asked if I wanted to join. I love reading, but don't have an awful lot of spare time to do it, so I thought this would give me a bit of a push to read things I may not normally choose. This month's book was a local saga, which isn't really me, but I enjoyed the historical details.
Over at CRAFT this week, we are sponsored by The Stamping Boutique, Digi Darla and Saturated Canary. We have a sketch for you this week, designed by our very own Sheryl.

Onto my card. I have used a gorgeous Snow White image from Saturated Canary. I have never used one of these images before, but I love it and will be getting more. The papers are by Prima and Papermania and the ribbons, charm and flowers are from my stash.
Have a lovely day.

A little bit sketchy

Hi all,
I can't believe how few days there are left until Christmas. I am nearly sorted present wise, but nowhere near sorted for Christmas cards and tags. Aaagh! Daisy is very excited as she is rehearsing for her nativity play. As the school only has 50 pupils in it, the whole school takes part in the play and the reception class are all angels. They had to take in white sheets for their costumes and Daisy is very proud of the line she has to say. I can't wait to see it next week.
Over at CRAFT, we are sponsored by Glitterbabe and Floppy Latte. We have a wonderful sketch for you to use. I have rotated the sketch 90 degrees to suit the Glitterbabe image I have chosen to use. The label die cuts were cut with my new Grand Calibur (I love the machine, although I haven't had a lot of playing time) and the ribbon and pearls were from my stash.
Please check back later for my Digital Delights post.
I would like to enter this into:
Crafts and me - winter (snow/snowflakes)
Bearly mine challenges - un-traditional Christmas
The stamping boutique - no traditional Christmas colours

If you go down to the woods today...

Hi all,
Daisy's class are off to the local woods this morning, and I'm going with them. As it is just a five minute walk from their school, they have been a few times. Last week they made rabbit homes and the time before they made houses for fairies, so I'm keen to see what they are doing today. Then, I have the afternoon free to do cleaning, etc before I get Daisy and then Martha from nursery. Luckily, I am beginning to feel more normal, although my voice has gone a bit (I don't think hubby minds this!).
It's time for another challenge at Creative craft and this fortnight we are sponsored by Robyn's Fetish, who let the DT play with some of their images. We have a sketch for you this time and I really liked this one, so it will be filed away for another use. Here it is:
For my card, I have used Rain, rain go away by Robyn's Fetish. The papers are by Kate Knight and were a freebie with a magazine. I realise that the papers are opposite to the image, but I wanted this card to be a 'there'll be sunshine after the rain' kind of card, and so a bit bright and cheery. Please hop over to the challenge blog and welcome our 3 new DT members - Carly, Natalie and April.

For my little monkey!

Hi all,

Well, only Friday to go and then it's the weekend! It's been raining for most of the week, so Martha and I have found indoor things to do. She's now wanting to walk and tows me around everywhere. Tomorrow, Daisy isn't in preschool, so we are going to meet up with some friends for lunch and a play.
Here's my weekly post to enter into the Stamp Fairy challenge. They have a fab sketch this week and as Martha is 1 (how did that happen?) next month, I thought I would make her a card. I'm not sure if it is a bit too old for her, but as hubby said, the card is more for us than her as she won't have a clue what is going on and will probably just want to take it apart. I used this fab Stamp Fairy monkey image. I printed him 3 times and then decoupaged him for depth. The papers are also by Stamp Fairy and I thought I would add a bit of texture with corrugated card and tried to add to a jungle feel with the leaves.

A whole new world

Hi all,

What horrible weather we're having here. That's one thing I would have loved to bring from Sydney with me! We have finally finished getting all the boxes out of our attic and have to sort them. We only have two more attics' full to go (thank goodness for lovely friends and family).

We're off to take my parents to the station this morning. Their stay has gone really quickly and the girls will really miss the extra attention.

It's time for another Incy Wincy challenge and this week our very own teamie Netty has given us a fab sketch to use. I really loved using it and will do so again. We are sponsored by Sassy design studios, who are offering 4 digis to the winner. The DT were lucky enough to have some images to use and I chose Little Honey's Jasmine. I think Daisy's obsession with princesses and Disney films has rubbed off on me. I stayed with the princess theme and chose papers by Imaginisce and flowers by Prima. Please hop over and check out the fab projects from the rest of the DT.

Yippee - I can join in again!

Hi all,
I hope you are having a good weekend. My parents came up on Thursday for a couple of weeks. It's nice to see them. Martha hadn't met them before, but she's really taken to them and Daisy loves having someone else to boss around!

I am so pleased that I am able to join in the Stamp Fairy challenges again as I love the images and the challenges are such fun. I don't have much stash, but enough! This week, there is a fab sketch by Gerda and I used her lovely image called Baby Dotty and her teddy, as a friend of ours had a baby girl last week and I wanted to make her a card. The papers are by Imaginisce and the embellishments are from my stash.

CRAFT GDT

Hi all,
I hope you are having a good day. We went to a friend's house today who we haven't seen for a while. It was nice to catch up and Daisy and Martha loved the park we went to.
I know it's unusual to have me posting on a Thursday, but I was honoured to be asked to be GDT again for CRAFT challenge for May. Of course I said yes. This week there's a fab sketch by Kevin, one of the DT. The sponsor this week is Digis with Attitude, who are offering a $10 CAD gift certificate to their shop for the winner. I have used Camping Tween and also a DWA sentiment. I went quite bright for this card and used paper by Dovecraft. Hop over to the challenge blog to see the fab makes from the DT.

Moo!

Hi all,

I hope you are all having a good weekend. I'm sorry I haven't been around all week, but with my sister and family here, I thought it would be a bit rude to spend every night on the computer, especially as I haven't seen them for a year and a half! Anyway, I managed to make a card and have a good blog hop tonight, so I am nearly up to date.

Over at Stamp Fairy this week they have a fab sketch. I have used one of my new Stamp Fairy images called Betsy the cow that I bought this week. Gerda is having a half price sale and so I just had to go and have a look! If you haven't got any of these images yet, go and have a look as there are fab new releases every week. The paper is by K and Co and I have nearly used the whole pad so must get some more soon. It is actually green, but it looks a bit washed out on the photo.

A little bit sketchy

Hi all,

I hope you are having a good day. Both girls went to kindy today. Usually Martha stays at home with me on a Tuesday, but she is finding it a bit hard to settle into kindy so as there was a space this week on Tuesday we decided to send her as she might get to know the people better. It worked a bit as she had a good day and had lots of smiles for Daisy when they played outside. As for me, it wasn't a rest as I went to my exercise class (boxing again - I love it!), did loads of housework, did some tutoring and managed to make some DT cards. I also squeezed in a little non-DT make and here it is.

Over at the fab Stamp Fairy blog, they have a great sketch this week. I decided to go with Toby Spring fairy - isn't he adorable? I paper pieced the wings and dress. The DP is from a RAK so I don't know who made it, but I love it. Go and check out the challenge and the images. They are all so cute.

Fancy a picnic?

Hi all,

It's been quite hot today, so we went to the beach. Daisy had a whale of a time and Martha had her first taste of the sea as she has always been asleep every other time we went. She seemed to enjoy it and kept trying to eat the sand all the time.

I found a great sketch at Papertake weekly, so I have used one of my new Sarah Kay stamps I had for my birthday but haven't used yet (I know, it's been two months, what have I been doing?!) The papers are by prima and the flowers are wild orchid.

Just for ewe

Hi all,

Martha had quite a long nap today and I felt inspired to make something. I found this wonderful sketch from 2 sisters and thought I'd use this fab image from Meljen's designs. I love it and obviously I had to use a sheep inspired sentiment! The paper is by dovecraft and the flowers are by Wild Orchid.

Tomorrow is Australia Day so hubby is off work. We are hoping to meet with some friends but it's meant to be in the high 30's so we'll see what happens (I know, I get no sympathy from those of you in freezing weather!)

Incy Wincy sketch

It's time for another challenge at Incy Wincy and this week there's a fab sketch for you. We are sponsored by Aspire to Thrive:

who are offering a $10 voucher for their store. The DT have all used images from Aspire to Thrive with the sketch. I have gone for a Christmas theme as I am seeing so many Christmas cards around and I haven't made many yet so expect more! I used the Santa train image, which I love. I don't have any scalloped ovals, so I used lace to outline the oval. The frame is from SU. I don't normally go for traditional colours, but I thought they worked well here.
I would like to enter this into the following challenge:
Sir Stampalot - Christmas traditions

A quick update on Daisy and the dance concert. I was quite worried she wouldn't get on stage as she is quite shy, but she went on, did all the moves perfectly and had a huge smile on her face all the time. She now wants to do more. A very proud mummy moment!

3rd time lucky!

Hi all,

I made this card yesterday, took a photo and then realised I had missed part of the sketch, so added the missing bit, took a photo and realised again I had missed another part off (I wasn't very observant, obviously). So, I added the extra bit today and hopefully I now have it all! This is for the C.R.A.F.T challenge which is a sketch.

The paper is K and Co and the image is Sarah Kay.

Sketch

Hi, Daisy has been in kindy all day, so after grocery shopping and doing a few jobs, I had time to make a couple of cards. This one uses some K and Co papers I bought ages ago and haven't really used, but I quite like the effect. The image is from a RAK so I don't know where it is from - I must ask. I've used a great sketch from allsorts which is quite deceiving as it looks simple but took me ages to line up all the squares.

A sketch

Over at Polkadoodles there is a great sketch to follow and you need to use black and white and one other colour. I chose pink for my other colour and thought it was a great opportunity to use my new paper boutique CD I bought from Polkadoodles. There's so much on it, I love it! I used the cake decoupage and found an oddment of pink acetate which I think looks great on the black card.

Polkadoodles sketch challenge

Over at polkadoodles they have a great sketch this week with the added challenge that you have to use blue and brown. I used papers from the DCWV garden party stack and have finally used the cute owl stamp from Hero Arts that I won on Sir Stampalot's blog hop.

Allsorts challenge

There's a fab sketch to follow on the allsorts challenge blog. I've used a fab digi stamp from Charmed cards and crafts and a slightly unusual (for me) colour combination, which was inspired by the lovely paper from kaisercraft I have used here, that can just be seen.
