Hi all,
I know, a post on a Wednesday, shock horror! Anyway, I have finally taken photos of the cards I made at the wonderful Brenda's class at Sir Stampalot. I made six cards altogether and had a wonderful time chatting to the other ladies. The first card shows my first attempt at brayering. I avoided this technique like the plague as it seemed very difficult, but I'm not quite as scared now and will be putting one on my birthday wish list! Don't look too closely at the scene, as I stamped the trees in the wrong place, but overall it's not too bad for a first try.
The next card (above) was such fun to make. Three stamps and an inked acrylic block (I had never thought of doing this before) were used to build up the image. The hinges were cut on a big shot (another wish list item) and then distressed. The next card uses a wonderful poppy stamp. Unfortunately I don't know the name of many stamps we used, and definitely not the numbers!

They all look lovely. I'm hoping to get inky today as I have a day off before it is back to work.

I am so pleased you enjoyed yourself Nikki, it was lovely to meet you and I was totally impressed by your makes. And I think a brayer is a must have as you picked up the technique brilliantly.
Hope you had a good break away as well.
