Very quick post

Just a very quick post. I popped on here to check challenges and to my surprise my monkey picture frame won the week 26 Polkadoodles challenge. I am very surprised. Thank you Polkadoodles.

Babybee is here!

Hi,

This is just a very quick post to say babybee has finally arrived. Martha Rose was born on 14th July weighing 3.5kg and is gorgeous. We are home already as I wanted to be around familiar things and to get things back to 'normal' for Daisy. I will be doing a few hops of blogs when I have time or energy, but may not be around properly for a couple of weeks at least as hubby is off and we are wanting to spend time doing family things.

Relax

I had fun making this card. When I get the time, I enjoy taking bits of paper and playing with them until I can piece together a picture. I used two blue ink pads to create the sky and I used puff paint to draw the waves and cut the boat from paper from Hot Off the Press. The image inside is from Charmed cards and crafts and is just what I would love to do on a hot summer's day!

I'm entering this into Sir Stampalot's July challenge - Lazy hazy days of summer.

Hearts and flowers

Hi all,

I haven't been on here as my camera somehow managed to crash my computer and then it wouldn't work. Luckily, hubby sorted it all out and it is now back to normal. I was a bit worried using the camera again but it seems to be ok, so here is one of my cards.
I'm still impatiently awaiting the arrival of babyB, but it won't be much longer than a week now at most.

The theme at allsorts is July love - you need a heart on the card somewhere. I made a heart from fimo and stamped a flower on it. I used another of the fab lace flowers and some great papers given to me in a RAK - sorry I don't know where they are from.

Cheeky monkey!

I decided to do something a bit different so made a photo frame for my very own cheeky monkey. I made three photo spaces so one is for Daisy, one for the new baby and one for them both together (I won't need to wait too long for this). I used funky monkey from the Polkadoodles CD 1 Paper Boutique and decoupaged him. The brown paper is also from here. I then cut out leaves and a bush. I am entering this into the Polkadoodles challenge - decorative item.

Yes, I am here!

Hi, sorry I've been AWOL, but a few days ago I woke up feeling extremely dizzy and couldn't move my head without the room spinning. I spent the next few days doing very little and am only now feeling like I can do some crafting and as Daisy is in kindy I thought I would take advantage. However, I am thinking maybe I should slow down a little bit as I think it is my body's way of saying a heavily pregnant lady should rest more! Babybee is due on Friday but as Daisy kept me waiting for 10 days, I'm ready for a long wait!

Anyway, onto the card. I had fun with this one as I used two blue ink pads and one silver one to make the background (although it is quite difficult to pick out the shades in the photo). I have then used one of my fabby new Kraftin' Kimmie stamps, called Daphne, and paper pieced the dress. The fuschias are from a woodware stamp set and the butterfly is one I got free with a magazine. I'm entering this into Allsorts - create a scene and Crafty Cardmakers -inky fingers.
