Two for the price of one!

Hi all,

I can't believe it's Wednesday already. Daisy started back at her dance lessons today. She decided to do ballet this year and was so excited as she got to wear a pink leotard, tutu and pink ballet shoes. To top it off, her Grandma sent her some 'ballerina' hair things and she just had to wear them all! After dance, we also went to the library, the hairdressers and for lunch with her in her ballet things as she didn't want to take them off!

On to my card. I have been hearing about double easel cards for a while now and when I saw one on Lorraine's fab blog I thought I would have a go too. I made it up as I went along and decided to make mine heart shaped. Purple is my favourite colour and I love it combined with green, so I went for that. The papers are by DCWV and Prima and the cute images are Herb and Clementine from the wonderful Stamp Fairy. All the images are so cute, I could spend hours choosing. The flowers and lace are Wild Orchid.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

Stamp Fairy - lace and hearts - no red or pink

Pretty in Pink

Evening all,

Martha and Daisy are both asleep (hooray!) so I've decided to post my most recent card. A friend has just given birth to a beautiful baby girl, so I made this to celebrate. The image is from Pink Petticoat. I've printed it three times and decoupaged it. The dragonfly and beads for the pin are from my sadly neglected jewellery stash. When I have at least 30 hours in a day, I might have time to use it again!

I'm entering this into Papertake Weekly - Just the one - I have kept to one colour and Crafty Cardmakers - Glitter and Sparkles.

Yes, I am here!

Hi, sorry I've been AWOL, but a few days ago I woke up feeling extremely dizzy and couldn't move my head without the room spinning. I spent the next few days doing very little and am only now feeling like I can do some crafting and as Daisy is in kindy I thought I would take advantage. However, I am thinking maybe I should slow down a little bit as I think it is my body's way of saying a heavily pregnant lady should rest more! Babybee is due on Friday but as Daisy kept me waiting for 10 days, I'm ready for a long wait!

Anyway, onto the card. I had fun with this one as I used two blue ink pads and one silver one to make the background (although it is quite difficult to pick out the shades in the photo). I have then used one of my fabby new Kraftin' Kimmie stamps, called Daphne, and paper pieced the dress. The fuschias are from a woodware stamp set and the butterfly is one I got free with a magazine. I'm entering this into Allsorts - create a scene and Crafty Cardmakers -inky fingers.
