Crafty Catz DT call

Well, here's my crazy moment! Over on Crafty Catz they are looking for a new DT member and here is my entry into this week's challenge and my entry for the DT call. I went pink and girly for this one. The theme is 'celebrate', so I've made a girl's birthday card. The image is a digi stamp from Charmed cards and crafts and the sentiment uses a free font I downloaded.

Birthday card

Hi, sorry I've not been around for a while. Hopefully that will change soon when life becomes a bit less manic. I made this quick card yesterday for a family member who is 7 in a few days and as it has to be sent to England, I had to get it sent. I used a great decoupage from craftsuprint and kept the rest simple.

Clowning around

I bought this fab clown digi stamp from Incy Wincy designs and couldn't wait to use it. Over on the allsorts challenge blog, the project has to be made for a child. I have used the sketch from Crafty Catz and put one of the balloons onto a foam pad for a bit of depth. I have a few children's birthdays coming up, so this will come in very handy.

Another Christmas card

Well, here's my fourth Christmas card of the year. I'm entering it into the challenge at Dottie's world, which is asking for the colour scheme red, black and white. I used their fab Christmas pixie digi stamp and tried to make it look like the image is on a bauble. I used some great glittery black card, which I love, but it is difficult to stick anything onto it.

Woohoo again!

Hi,

Just a quick one as we've just got back from a weekend away in Port Stephens. Gorgeous weather and lovely beaches - fab! Anyway, I've got loads to do - unpacking and washing, etc, but I just had to post that I was the lucky winner on Craftycatz this week. Yippee! I love random number generators! I'm having a good week.

Take care,

Another challenge card

I know it's not a Christmas card, and I should be making them, but I found a good distraction I made this card for Crafty Catz, whose challenge this week is Going Dottie and for Incy Wincy Designs, who are asking for a thank you card.

I'm trying to use some of the papers I have had for a while and I love this Tilda stamp. I always think flowers are a good way to say thanks, so felt it was ideal.

A bit of bling

Well, I can never resist a chance to get out some sparkles, so when I saw the allsorts challenge this week, I knew I had to enter! The theme is Bring out your bling. As I haven't made many of my Christmas card yet, I am using every opportunity to do one. I used a stamp from the Daisy and Dandelion range, gorgeous doodlebug design flocked and glittered card and of course some bling!

Woohoo!

Hi all,

More posts will come later, but just to say I'm very excited as I found out I made the top five in the Crafty Catz challenge - my first top five. Yippee!

Hi all

Well, my addiction to blog challenges is growing and I have made a card which I'm entering into three of them this week. Over on Crafty Catz, there's a fab sketch to use. Then, cook up a card asks for 3 flowers, two gems and a butterfly and crafty cardmakers wants you to Stamp Something. I used a Tilda image and coloured it with my whispers pens. The butterfly is stamped and attached using foam pads. The paper is from the DCWV garden party stack (yes, I do have other paper, I just love this so much).

Jewellery

Daisy is at kindy all day today, so my plan was to spend part of the day tidying and sorting all my craft stash that has been in boxes since it arrived a couple of weeks ago. Well, that hasn't happened yet as I found my jewellery stuff and decided to have a play. I bought some gorgeous beads from the craft fair we went to yesterday and just had to use them. I've kept the rest of the necklaces plain so the focal bead will stand out. I've also made a chain maille bracelet. I've been going on about wanting to make one for ages and my sister sent me a kit. It was a bit fiddly to start with but I soon got the hang of it and love it.

Birthday cards.

Hi all,

I hope you have all had lovely weekends. We went to the beach on Saturday as it was glorious weather and we're trying out all the local beaches to see which Daisy prefers! Then yesterday we went to a craft fair that had loads of stalls selling gorgeous stuff. It was lovely to talk to some fellow crafters.

Anyway, after that I made these two cards for friends birthdays. The first uses a stamp from a local shop over here and the next uses a digi stamp from Charmed cards and crafts.
