Is this girly enough?

Hi all,
I hope you had a lovely weekend.  We went to Bede's World on Saturday.  It's a hands on museum all about a famous Northumbrian monk.  I love history and Daisy is interested too.  The girls loved the farm section and there were reconstructed wattle and daub houses.  On top of that, there was a craft fair there, so I was happy. We then went to the attached play park, where I bumped into a friend I haven't seen for ages.  It was lovely to catch up.
Over at Incy Wincy this week, we are sponsored by
who are offering the winner a $10 gift certificate for the store.  Our theme is Mother's Day or girly.  I have used  an image and papers by Floppy Latte.  I don't use grey an awful lot, and now I'm not sure that this is girly enough.  Don't forget to check out the rest of the projects by the DT.

Mellow yellow

Hi all,
Well, it's Friday.  Martha and I went to singing tots this morning, a group for little ones to sing nursery rhymes, play music and dance.  She loves singing and dancing and is starting to join in (it's only her second time of going). I keep meaning to go along, as I used to do it with Daisy and she loved it, but we always seem to be doing something else.
Here is a card I made when I had my crafty, inky Tuesday. This is rather yellow, a colour I don't use and awful lot in my crafting.  I have left it quite simple as I wanted the image to be the star.  It's Poppy background by Hero Arts, which I have had for about a year, but this is the first time I have inked it up.  I stamped the image with TH mustard seed distress ink.  I then added gold holographic card, corrugated card, ribbon and some gems.
Have a lovely weekend.

Banana split, anyone?

Hi all,
Well, it's Thursday already.  Martha and I will potter today, as I think sometimes she just likes to stay home and play and as it has been raining a lot, it's not such a good idea to go out anyway.  Then, Daisy has dancing and she has a friend coming over afterwards for tea and a play.  I'm then off to book club, so a busy ish time for us.  I had a great time on Tuesday getting inky and using some stamps I haven't used in ages.  I just need to make them all up into cards, so you will be seeing them in the next few days.
Over at CRAFT this week, we are sponsored by Floppy Latte, Stamping Boutique and Hope Jacare Doodles.  Our theme is animals, and I have used an image by Stamping Boutique.  I just love this cheeky monkey.  The papers are freebies from magazines again and I decided to add some corrugated card for texture.  Have a great day.

What? No papercrafting?

 Hi all,
I hope you are having a good week.  I finally managed to do a bit of gardening and have sorted out the veggy beds.  Some things are planted and the girls helped me sow some seeds into pots, so lets hope we have lots of vegetables to eat later in the year.  Martha and I went to toddlers this morning, which was great fun, although Martha insisted on taking 2 soft toys with her, so I was following her around making sure she didn't lose them as she would not have been happy!
I have something to show today which isn't a card and doesn't have any paper on it.  I felt the urge to get out my jewellery stuff and made this necklace.  Daisy helped string some of the beads and has ordered one just like this for her but in pink, purple and yellow!  I haven't made jewellery for ages and my stash has only been used by Daisy and her friend from next door, who loves coming around and doing something crafty.  So, I wanted to make something before all my beads are used up.
This picture shows how it would look the right way up.  It is a bit heavy, but I have worn it a few times already and love it!
See you tomorrow.

Doyouthinkhesawus?

Hi all,
I hope you are all well.  Yesterday it rained most of the day.  Typical, as I was planning on getting out in the garden and sorting out the veggy beds as I wasn't working.  Daisy got back from school and we started on her homework.  The school are doing Queen and country for their cultural topic this term, and as part of it, they are having a portrait display and they each have to complete a portrait.  Daisy has decided to do a collage and I am helping her to collect the things she wants to use.  Then, it is over to her.  She has a week to do it.  Aaagh!  They have already made royal banners and made castles.  Daisy is enjoying it as she is princess mad and has taken a princess story in with her today.
Over at Creative Craft this week, we are sponsored by Joanna Sheen, Bugaboo digi images and Robyn's Fetish.  Our theme is Animal Antics, so get out your animal themed stamps and join in!  I have used this cute dinosaur by Bugaboo.  The papers are more magazine freebies (I have loads and need to use them up.  Most of them are lovely).
Have a lovely day.  I hope to see you tomorrow.

Flap, flap

Hi all,
I hope you had a lovely weekend.  It rained most of the time here on Saturday, but on Sunday it was a bit better, so we went up to Berwick.  Hubby had heard of a place where you go and paint your own ceramics.  Daisy chose a fairy trinket box and Martha finger painted a beaker.  We have to pick them up next weekend once they are glazed.  We then went for a bit of a chilly walk along the beach and looked for animals in the rock pools.  There wasn't anything there - very sensibly hiding in the warm, I expect.
Over at Incy Wincy this week, we are sponsored by Sassy Studios.  We have a sketch for you this week.  Here it is:
It was drawn by our own teamie, the wonderful Samantha.  I have used a fab flapper image by Sassy Studios and thought it would look great with a black and white colour scheme.  The backing paper is wrapping paper and the border punch is by SU.  Please check out the rest of the projects by the DT.
See you tomorrow.

Love birds

Hi all,
This week has gone quickly. Daisy has been quite tired after school after having two weeks holiday but hopefully she will get into the swing of things soon. Today, Martha and I will probably go to a local soft play as the weather has been awful this week, but we do like to get out and about.
Over at CRAFT this week, we are sponsored by Meljen's designs, Wags n Whiskers and Craftsuprint. Our theme this week is wedding/anniversary. For my card, I have used a Meljen's Designs image and have gone away from my usual square blanks and used an A5 one instead, mainly because I printed the image too big and didn't have time to resize and print a smaller one! The papers are from a magazine. I have used part of a doily, but think I should buy some smaller ones as they look much neater if you use the whole one, in my opinion.
Have a great rest of the week.

Yes, it really is me!

Hi all,
I hope you all had a good Easter. We had a fabulous time in Berlin. There was so much to see and we were out every day. Daisy walked so far, her legs were worn out, bless her. The girls loved playing with their cousin and it was good to see family. We got back on Thursday and I have been tackling the washing mountain and spent all of this morning cleaning the house. I have come back in a manic cleaning mood and yesterday Daisy and I cleaned her room and she even agreed to send some things to a charity shop! I now feel a few hours of crafting is in order.
Over at Incy Wincy this week, we are sponsored by:

who are offering the lucky winner 4 digis of their choice.
For my card, I have used a lovely image by Delicious Doodles, called crocus. Our theme this week is Digi Only, so please don't use rubber stamps. I have gone purple for this one as it is my favourite colour and I love purple flowers. The papers are a mixture of scraps and the butterfly border is an EK Success punch, which I don't use enough, as it is lovely. Please check out the rest of the projects by the DT.

Under the sea

Hi all,
This is a scheduled post, but it should be the last one, as we are travelling back today.
Over at CRAFT, we are sponsored by Eiglas, Stitchy Bear Digital Stamps and Bugaboo Stamps. We have a picture for your inspiration this week. Here it is:
I have used a lovely image called Little Mermaid by lil diva from Stitchy Bear Stamps. The papers are by Panda Bear designs from Stitchy Bear Stamps. I thought that the pic needed a mermaid and I could just imagine her sitting on a rock just out to sea. I also used the colours from the picture. Don't forget to check out the fab projects from the rest of the team.
I will be back in person with lots of waffle soon!

Does anything rhyme with orange?

Hi all,
This is another scheduled post. I bet you are quite happy that there hasn't been much waffle here for a while!
Over at Creative Craft this fortnight, we are sponsored by Kenny K. We have a lovely sketch for you and here it is:
I have used Luscious Linda by Kenny K. I thought the image needed a bold colour, so I went for orange again. I followed the sketch pretty much as is, although I didn't add a sentiment, as I prefer not to on most of my cards.
See you Thursday.

...And blow!

Hi all,
This is another scheduled post.
Over at Incy Wincy this week, we are sponsored by Stamping Dragon designs. The theme this week is cute critters. I chose this sweet fish from Stamping Dragon Designs. The paper is both sides of a sheet, but I can't remember who it's by - sorry. I wanted the circles to look like bubbles in the water.
I'll be back tomorrow.

Boing!

Hi all,
This is a scheduled post.
Over at CRAFT, we are sponsored by Sassy Studio, Crimson Cloud, Trimgym's digistamps and images and eyeCandie Creations. Our theme this week is Spring/Easter. I have used an image by our sponsor of the month, The Stamping Boutique. I have gone more Spring than Easter. I tried to ink the background of the image while leaving the nestie in place. I have seen other people do it an quite like the effect. The paper is a scrap of digi paper, so I don't know who it is by. The flowers were made using a scalloped circle punch and cutting them into a spiral and rolling them up.
Have a lovely weekend.

Quack, quack, quack

Hi all,

This is a scheduled post as we should be on an aeroplane on our way to Berlin. I am so glad the flight is only 2 hours as Martha wouldn't sit for much longer.
Over at Incy Wincy this week, we are sponsored by Care2Stamp. This is a new Canadian shop, which stocks a lot of rubber stamps. The theme this week is Easter/pastel colours. I have decided to make a circular easel card, using my scalloped nesties. I have been inspired by the wonderful Mary J, who has a fantastic array of cute circular cards on her fab blog and I thought I should have a go. The image is from the Popcorn the Bear Thanks a bunch set, which is stocked by Care2stamp. The paper is a magazine freebie and the buttons were taken off some of Martha's clothes that were too tatty to give to a charity shop.
Don't forget to check the rest of the projects out by the wonderful DT.
