What will you do?

Please scroll down for my Digital Delights inspiration post.

Hi all,
This is my last week as GD for CRAFT challenge. We are sponsored by

We have a picture to inspire you this week and here it is:For my card, I have used the colours to inspire me. I have used Top hat for a lady by Floppy Latte and have used papers designed by Jo from the DT. I haven't used a lot of embellishments as I feel the paper is bold enough. I hope you have time to join us.

Fancy a treat?

Hi all,
The trip to the woods was fab. The children were building dens out of fallen branches and then made clay hedgehogs with stick spikes to hide in the dens. They had a lovely time but were shattered after.
It's time for my weekly showcase of Digital Delights goodies. This week I have used Lilybelle the witch, a sentiment and a sheet from the spooktacular papers available from the shop. I decided to make a treat box for halloween and as usual didn't make things easy for myself. I decided to make a witches hat by making my own template and then added the sentiment and image.
See you soon.

If you go down to the woods today...

Hi all,
Daisy's class are off to the local woods this morning, and I'm going with them. As it is just a five minute walk from their school, they have been a few times. Last week they made rabbit homes and the time before they made houses for fairies, so I'm keen to see what they are doing today. Then, I have the afternoon free to do cleaning, etc before I get Daisy and then Martha from nursery. Luckily, I am beginning to feel more normal, although my voice has gone a bit (I don't think hubby minds this!).
It's time for another challenge at Creative craft and this fortnight we are sponsored by Robyn's Fetish, who let the DT play with some of their images. We have a sketch for you this time and I really liked this one, so it will be filed away for another use. Here it is:
For my card, I have used Rain, rain go away by Robyn's Fetish. The papers are by Kate Knight and were a freebie with a magazine. I realise that the papers are opposite to the image, but I wanted this card to be a 'there'll be sunshine after the rain' kind of card, and so a bit bright and cheery. Please hop over to the challenge blog and welcome our 3 new DT members - Carly, Natalie and April.

A bit of what you fancy

Hi all,
I hope you had a wonderful weekend. We met up with some friends yesterday. Their daughter has also just started school, so it was good to hear how she was getting on. Today, I went along with Daisy to a rehearsal for Annie, the musical we are in. I've also got an awful cold and have been feeling a bit rubbish, so I'm sorry I haven't visited you as much as usual, but I've just chilled in the evenings and couldn't muster the strength to get on the computer.
This week on Incy Wincy, we are sponsored by Karen's Doodles,
who are offering three digis to the winner. Our theme this week is fancy folds, so whether you make an easel card, a more fancy card, or different folds on other projects, you are welcome to join in. I have used a gorgeous image by Karen's Doodles, called Winter Angel. My card has a diagonal opening, which is closed with a blue ribbon and the image tucks under the button to keep it closed. The paper is by BoBunny.
Have a wonderful Monday and see you tomorrow.
I would like to enter this into:
Paper Sundaes - Anything goes
Pile it on - Fancy Folds
Mark's finest papers - things with wings

CRAFT GDT card

Please scroll down for my Digital Delights DT card.

Hi again,
Here is my GDT card for CRAFT challenge. This week, we are sponsored by DigiDarla
who are offering the winner one month free membership for the digi stamp club. This week, we would like to see you using parchment on your projects. Now, this was a real challenge for me as I have never used it before. I bought some star patterned parchment and downloaded a free butterfly pattern (sorry I haven't kept the web address). I found this quite difficult and I'm not sure if I will do it again, although I have some spare parchment, so I might have a little play. The image is by Digis with Attitude. I made the ribbon now using a great tutorial by Jules - very simple, but I have never done this before either!
Have a great rest of the week.

A bit fiddly, but worth it

Hi all,
I can't believe it's Thursday already. The week has flown by. Daisy is still having fun at school and Martha has enjoyed going out and about with me. This evening, I'm off to a rehearsal for the musical I'm in. It's Annie (you may have seen the film/ stage show) and we're doing it at the end of November, so there's not much time left and I have loads of lines to learn. Aaagh!
It's time for my showcase of Digital Delights images. This week I have done something a bit different.
I made some baby booties using the free template from here. I used spring weave papers by Digital Delights. and although they were a bit fiddly to stick together, I quite like the end result. I then made a box for the booties (in the top picture), and used Little Dumpling and stork on the lid, along with the same papers. The sides have also been decorated, using a SU border punch and Woodware flower punches.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
Crafts and me - stripes
Digistamps4joy - anything goes
Simon says stamp - dies to die for (I used scalloped punch and 2 flower punches)
I'll see you soon for my CRAFT GDT post.

Once upon a fairytale

Hi all,
I am child free again today, so I want to get up to date with my DT things and then I must sort out supply teaching work (I'm not looking forward to it).
Yesterday, it was my turn to host Hostess Monday on the Digital Delights blog. I meant to post my projects here as well, but completely forgot. Anyway, better late than never! Daisy is 5 in January, but as Christmas gets in the way, I thought I would start her birthday things now. I used the castle, Princess Shona, Augustus the Dragon and Sparky the Knight from Digital Delights and made an invitation, tags for the party bags and place cards for the table. Daisy loved them, so I only have 15 more to do!

The papers are by Imaginisce. I really must get more of these, as I use them an awful lot. The ribbons and gems are from my stash.
Have a lovely day,

All well for now

Hi all,
Happy Monday. I hope you all had a lovely weekend. We went to pick up our bunnies - Morgan and Stanley. They are brother and sister and are 5 years old. A lovely friend agreed to have them while we were in Sydney, and we have just managed to get organised to get them. Daisy has wanted a pet for ages, so is happy to help feed them. I'm not sure how long it will last, though. I finally have time to do some housework today as Martha is well enough to go to nursery and Daisy is in school.
It's time for another challenge at Incy Wincy. This week we are sponsored by Stamp Fairy, who are offering a $9 Gift Certificate to the lucky winner. Our theme this week is distressing. I have used two free halloween digi stamps by Stamp fairy. The papers are by Digital Delights and I have
used scissors to 'ruin' them! I do enjoy this technique a lot. Please check out the rest of the fab projects by the DT.

Yes, it is me again!

Scroll down for my Digital Delights DT card.

Hi all,
Yes, I know, two posts in one day. I was asked by the lovely Jo at CRAFT challenge to be a Guest Designer for the rest of September and of course I said yes.
This week, the sponsors are Fantastic ribbons, who are offering 4 rolls of the winner's choice and Bows and Berries, who are offering 3 digi images to another winner.
This week, there is a recipe for you. We would like to see 2 ribbons, 1 circle and 3 squares. I have used toadstool fairy from Bows and Berries and the papers are by Prima. There are 3 squares, only parts of them are hidden. I have used my handmade flowers again - punched, cut into a swirl and then rolled.
Have a good rest of the week.

Ahoy there!

Hi all,
This week has gone quite slowly, maybe because we haven't gone out as Martha was ill. Luckily she's much better now, so we may venture somewhere today. Luckily the wind has died down a bit and I've even put some washing out without fearing it will all blow away (although I did use extra pegs, just in case!)
The time has come for my weekly showcase of Digital Delights images. This week, I have used Presley the Pirate and a sentiment from the pirate sentiment set. The papers are by papermania and the coins were left over from Daisy's last birthday party (we had a treasure hunt in a sand pit).
I'll see you soon (sooner than you think!)

You can't beat a bit of bling!

Hi all,
Thanks for all your well wishes for Martha. She is feeling a bit less sorry for herself today and even managed to sleep through the night without too much coughing. It's amazing how tired Daisy is after just one week at school. She woke up at 7.30 this morning. I wondered what was wrong as she is usually up at 6! This is one thing I would love to continue.
Over at Creative Craft this fortnight, we would like to see buttons and bling on your projects. We are sponsored by Doodle Pantry, Love to stamp and The Crafty Pad. I have used a fab image from Doodle Pantry for my card, as I think it lends itself to having bling on. I tried to make it a bit vintage-y. I did have trouble deciding where to add the buttons as they didn't look quite right anywhere. Don't forget to check out the rest of the projects by the fab DT and Annette, our GDT for this month.

Going stir crazy!

Hi all,
I hope you all had a great weekend. Martha hasn't been well, so she hasn't been out since Friday and is going slightly crazy now. Hopefully she is improving now, so we can go out again soon. Daisy went for her first full day at school today. She loved last week and couldn't wait to go this morning.
Over at Incy Wincy, we are sponsored by Tiddly Inks, who are offering a $10 gift certificate to the winner. We would like to see you make a bookmark. My creation uses Lilliclaire makes a wish by Tiddly Inks, and I made it with Daisy in mind as she loves pink and fairies. Please check out the other bookmarks from the rest of the DT.

I am now a school Mum

Hi all,
Daisy started school yesterday. She was so excited, she was ready in her uniform by 7.30am and then asked every 5 minutes when we were going to school! She does just mornings for the rest of this week and then she goes full time from Monday, which is when it will really hit me that she is now in the sausage machine of education for many years (even as a teacher I find this quite scary). I am going to have to find lots of fun things to do with Martha so she doesn't miss Daisy too much. Although there is a bit of an age gap (3 and a half years), they love playing together and Martha worships her big sister.
Anyway, the day has come in the week for me to showcase some of the fabulous digi stamps from Digital Delights. This week, I have used Dilly Duck and Ladybug. This is the second attempt at using this image. The first card ended up in the bin. I had a great idea, got the sewing machine out, finished the card and then ... didn't like it one bit. Luckily, I don't mind this one! The flowers are by prima and wild orchid, the papers are by Prima and the gems, ribbon and charms are from my stash.
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Ladybug crafts ink - anything goes
Papertake weekly - anything goes
Shopping our stash - birds, bugs or beasts
Creations by Gill M - anything that flies
Have a good day.

Bottoms up!

Hi all,
Well, we had a wonderful weekend. The lemon meringue pie went down very well and the girls enjoyed playing with our friend's daughter. Martha is at nursery and Daisy has just two days left before she starts school, so we will do what she fancies doing, which will probably involve going to the park.
Over at Incy Wincy this week, we would like you to make your own flowers. We are sponsored by Limited Runs. Our very own Nikki is the owner and designer and I have used a fab image called watermelon margarita. The papers are by K and Co and the ribbon is from my stash. The flowers have been made by punching a scalloped circle and rolling them around. Please check out the excellent projects from the rest of the DT.

Beep, beep!

Hi all,
I hope you are having a good weekend. The girls are now back to normal, so we went swimming this morning and then tonight I made a lemon meringue pie for tomorrow as we have some friends coming up for lunch and it is easier to do it without the girls running around.
I made this card for my nephew's third birthday. The image is Bryce in car, by Digital Delights, and I'm not sure who made the paper, as I used scraps with no name on them. It's very simple, but the image and papers are quite busy, so I didn't think it needed anything else. Have a good rest of weekend.

Boo!

Hi all,
I can't believe it is Thursday already. The girls are nearly spot free now, but Daisy has now got a chest infection and spent a couple of days with little energy. Luckily, she has antibiotics which are now working, and she is getting back to normal.
It's time for my weekly show of Digital Delights digis. Today, Wendy has a spooktacular release of Halloween images, papers and sentiments. I have used a sweet little fella called Count Batula. He, the pumpkin house and the papers are all from Digital Delights. The ribbon and black gems are from my stash. Please check out the wonderful creations by the rest of the Digital Delights DT. Also, don't forget to check out the new challenge at Delightful challenges.
