Vroom, vroom!

Hi all,
My cold seems to be going, luckily, so maybe I will have a few days before I catch another one! Daisy has gymnastics after school today. I really don't know where she gets her energy from!
Over at Creative Craft today, we are sponsored by The Stamping Boutique and LOTV. This fortnight, we would like you to make a male themed project. I have used this wonderful image by The Stamping Boutique and thought I would make a birthday card for one of Daisy's classmates, as she has a few parties coming up. Her social calendar is much fuller than mine. The papers are fab, but didn't have a name on them, so I'm not sure who designed them.

One more done

Hi all,
I hope you had a lovely weekend. I was planning to get some crafting done, but I have a horrible cold and am aching all over, so as soon as the girls were in bed, I collapsed on the sofa not wanting to move at all. Hopefully, this will go soon.
Over at Incy Wincy this week, we are sponsored by Limited Runs, owned by our teamie Nikki. We have a sketch for you, designed by another teamie, Samantha. Here it is:
I have used a wonderful image by Limited Runs. I am still hoping to get a few Christmas cards done throughout the year, so that I don't have the mad panic on the first of December. This is number 3, so not a lot, but 3 is better than none! The papers are more magazine freebies and I have had the snowflake embellishment for years. I couldn't bring myself to use it, but I think it goes well here. Have a lovely day and I'll see you tomorrow.

Fancy an apple?

Hi all,
Wow, Thursday already. Martha is feeling a bit better now, although she is still quite tired. I am off to book club tonight. One of Daisy's friend's mum runs it and asked if I wanted to join. I love reading, but don't have an awful lot of spare time to do it, so I thought this would give me a bit of a push to read things I may not normally choose. This month's book was a local saga, which isn't really me, but I enjoyed the historical details.
Over at CRAFT this week, we are sponsored by The Stamping Boutique, Digi Darla and Saturated Canary. We have a sketch for you this week, designed by our very own Sheryl.

Onto my card. I have used a gorgeous Snow White image from Saturated Canary. I have never used one of these images before, but I love it and will be getting more. The papers are by Prima and Papermania and the ribbons, charm and flowers are from my stash.
Have a lovely day.

Tweet, tweet

Hi all,
I hope you had a lovely weekend. Martha caught whatever hubby had, so she is off from nursery today and feeling sorry for herself. Daisy went to school happily after half term as she was desperate to see her friends.
Over at Incy Wincy this week, we are sponsored by K n K Designs, who are offering 3 digi sets to the winner. Our theme is 'birthdays' this week, and I used an image from our sponsor. I have gone a bit green, but it reminds me of spring. How I would love a bit of warmer weather!
Have a good day.

My last Valentine's card (yes, I know I'm late)

Hi all,
I know I don't usually post on a Friday, but I realised that I hadn't posted hubby's valentine's card here and if I had left it any later, everyone would be so over it. We were meant to be meeting up with friends, but they have the horrible sickness bug going around, and called it off. Hubby is off ill too, so we went out anyway to avoid his germs! The girls and I are visiting my inlaws tomorrow, to let hubby rest at home without any disturbances.
Anyway, onto the card. I have used an image by Delicious Doodles, called lovers. I quite like silhouette images - it saves time on the colouring anyway! The papers are by DCWV, dovecraft and papermania. I have distressed the edges with scissors and frayed the edges of the ribbon. Daisy saw me doing this and was really confused that I was ruining the papers! The swirl stamp is from a magazine freebie.

What? No papers?

Hi all,
This week has gone so quickly. I can't believe it is Thursday already. I think we will be going to the garden centre as Daisy wants to help choose seeds for our vegetable patch. I know it's a bit early to plant them, but last year we were so late, nothing grew, so we want to be prepared this year.
Over at CRAFT this week, we are sponsored by Meljen's Designs, My Creative Classroom and Love to Stamp. Our theme is no Designer Papers. Now, I do love my papers, so this was a bit of a challenge. I have used a sweet Meljen's Design image, and decided to make a Christmas card. I embossed the white card with lines, and used a snowflake embossing folder on the blue card, although I know it doesn't show very well on the photo.
I'll be back tomorrow.

Pretty in pink

Hi all,
I know, three posts in as many days, what is going on?! Today, we had a bit of a chilled day, only venturing out to play in the park and pop to the village shop. Daisy played with our neighbour's daughter for the afternoon and Martha decided to get every toy and game out. It's a shame she isn't as good at tidying them away!
I'm sharing a Valentine's card I made for Daisy. On Monday, Daisy said that she was going to make Martha a Valentine's card and wanted me to make her one. So, here it is. I used a magazine freebie heart stamp and clear embossed it. I then swiped a pink ink pad over the image. The paper is a scrap piece, so I don't know who made it. I know it is very pink, but Daisy loved it.

Manah manah, Do do do do do!

Hi all,
Martha was in nursery, so Daisy and I went to the cinema to see The Muppets. I used to watch the Muppets when I was younger and so enjoyed seeing them all again and Daisy really enjoyed it. Her favourite is Miss Piggy and we spent the rest of the day singing the 'manah manah' song!
Over at Creative Craft, we are sponsored by Stamping Dragon Designs. Our theme is Valentine's Day. I have used this sweet image by Stamping Dragon. The papers are by Hunkydory. I bought them years ago and haven't used them before.
I will be back tomorrow. Have a lovely day.

A recipe for you

Hi all,
I hope you all had a good weekend. Daisy's eye is much better now, although she is still on the antibiotics. We spent a lovely weekend visiting a science museum that has lots of things for children and then going swimming. I was hoping to get some crafting done, but time rolled away from me and as it is half term this week, I'm not sure how much I will get done as Daisy has a lot of things planned for us!
Over at Incy Wincy this week, we are sponsored by Pink Cat Studio. We have a recipe for you and we would like you to use 3 embellishments, 2 papers and 1 image. I have used a sweet dragon image from Pink Cat Studio. The papers are from a pack that came free with a magazine. The star is shiny fabric, and I have had them for ages. Please check out the fab projects from the rest of the DT.

Almost a Valentine's

Hi all,
I hope you are having a good week. Daisy woke up yesterday with a very swollen eye and she was unable to open it. She is now on antibiotics and won't be able to go to school for the rest of the week. I just hope that as the weather improves (?), she won't pick up as many illnesses. She hasn't missed too much school, but she really doesn't like staying home when her friends are all in school. I now have to find things to do indoors for a few days, so my craft stash might take a bit of a battering!
Over at CRAFT, we are sponsored by Truly Madly Crafty, Stitchy Bear and Bugaboo Stamps. Our theme is Valentine's and I have used a lovely image by Floppy Latte called Almost Kissing. I used blues and few embellishments for this card, as it was originally meant to be my valentine's card for hubby. But, I ended up sending it to my Mum and Dad who celebrated their 45th Wedding Anniversary last week and I hadn't made a card and was already late. I found this card and as 45 is Sapphire, I thought it would work quite well. Hopefully I will be back over the weekend.

I love to annoy you!

Hi all,
I hope you had a good weekend and stayed safe in the snow, if you had any. We had a tiny bit, but it has all gone now. I have to go to Daisy's parent's evening later, so I'm looking forward to that.
Over at Incy Wincy this week, we are sponsored by the fantastic Bugaboo stamps. Our theme is love (I wonder why this is?), using the colours pink, black and white. I have used this fantastic image and sentiment from Bugaboo. I think I may use this image for hubby's valentine's card, but I won't use the same colour combination! The DP is by Fancy Pants and the scalloped paper is by K and Co. I cut it from one of the sheets that has a lot of strips of different patterns on it as I never really know what to do with them.

Going for a ride

Hi all,
It's been so cold this week and apparently it's meant to get worse. Daisy is desperately hoping for snow as she hasn't seen it properly for 2 years, but I'm not so sure. Daisy is off to another friend's house today after dancing - I can't keep up!
Over at CRAFT, we are sponsored by The Crafty Pad, Crimson Cloud and Sassy Studio Designs. We have a colour combination challenge for you this week. Here it is:

For my card, I have used Lady in Gondola and With love sentiment from The Crafty Pad. The pink and orange plain papers are VERY bright, so I'm glad they aren't overpowering the card.
