I'd do anything...

Hi all,
I hope you had a good weekend.  We had a wonderful time in Manchester.  We went to a surprise party on the Saturday evening and the girls spent most of the time on the dance floor.  They both finally crashed out at about eleven!  We got back Sunday afternoon and then I had the mad dash around the house trying to get everything ready for school and nursery.
Over at Incy Wincy this week, we are sponsored by Meljen's Designs, and our theme is anything but a card.  I have made a gift box for Martha.  I have used a fab dancing unicorn image as Martha loves horses (or nees (neighs) as she calls them!) and I thought a unicorn is pretty close to one.
I have used nesties for the top and base and embellishments from my stash.
See you later.

Ewe make me smile

Hi all,
We're off to Manchester this afternoon, so I have lots of packing to do and I'm sure the girls will help!
Over at CRAFT, we have a recipe for you, to use 1 circle, 2 squares, a sentiment and ribbon.  I have used an image from Pink Gem, one of our sponsors, and the papers are freebies from a magazine.  I know this is quite simple, but I completely messed up and thought there was a different theme this week and made that card.  It was only when I checked the other cards from the DT, that I realised my mistake and needed to get something made quickly.

Brrr!

Hi all,
Well, it's half term here, so we have been seeing friends and today we met up with hubby's brother and family, who live in London but have come up to stay at hubby's parents for a few days.  We went to Bamburgh and had fun on the beach, although it was a bit chilly.  Tomorrow we are off to Manchester to see hubby's other brother and family for the weekend.
Over at Creative Craft, we have a sketch for you.  I have never made a card using just a quote or sentiment before, but I saw this one from our sponsor, Melonheadz and just love it.  The paper is both sides of a double sided paper, but I'm not sure who made it, sorry.
See you later.

Pop!

Hi all,
I hope you had a good weekend.  We met some friends on Sunday and had a lovely walk around Cragside as the weather was quite nice and sunny, even if it was freezing.  I then had a rehearsal for The mystery of Edwin Drood, which went quite well.  Daisy is off on half term, so she spent today getting her homework done so it is out of the way.
Over at Incy Wincy, we are sponsored by Sassy Studios and our theme is pop it up.  You could use decoupage, a pop up mechanism or use foam pads to add depth, which is what I have done here.  The papers are by Dovecraft and the image is by Sassy Studio, but I think it has been discontinued now.

Well, it has been snowing

Hi all,
I hope you had a good day.  Daisy asked for a special Valentine's Day tea today, so they got heart shaped omelettes and then a pink iced heart shaped cake which Martha and I made.  I think that was themed enough!
Over at CRAFT, our theme is Christmas in February.  The weather has been quite wintery this month, so it didn't feel so odd making a Christmas card.  The image is Christmas Mantle, by Floppy Latte, one of our sponsors.  The papers are freebies from a magazine.

Fancy a bit of snow-birding?

Hi all,
I hope you had a good weekend.  We went swimming on Sunday, and then the girls and I did some junk modelling.  I always save empty boxes and packaging and Daisy made a rocket and a crocodile, while Martha made a robot.  I think we all enjoyed ourselves and loved making a mess too!  We now need to paint the creations, which might be next Sunday's job.
Over at Incy Wincy this week, we are sponsored by Doodle Pantry and our theme is to add texture.  I have used a fab bird image by Doodle Pantry and made an easel card.  For my texture, I embossed silver card with a snowflakes folder, and added 3D white paint, corrugated card, ribbon and fluffy balls!

Give us a hug!

Hi all,
I hope you had a good week.  Ours has been busy as usual, and then today the girls had their dancing/drama lessons, so we have been out for most of the day.
I am a bit late in posting this, but over at CRAFT this week, our theme is get well/use bandages/sympathy.  I used an image from Wags n Whiskers, one of our sponsors, and made a get well card, as I think everyone wants a hug when they aren't well.  The papers are from Hot off the Press and the flower dies are by Nellie Snellen.
See you later.

A big bear hug

Hi all,
I hope you are keeping warm.  It's a bit windy out there.  I do hope the bit of snow we have goes away quickly as I am meant to be going to a rehearsal for the musical I am in tonight and my mother in law is coming up to babysit but I don't think she will come if it is snowy.
Over at creative craft our theme is love and hugs.  I have used an image by our sponsor, Robyn's Fetish.  I am not completely happy with this card.  I think I have too many embellishments on it, maybe. I tried to make a zip flower, which I think looks good, but maybe I should have stayed away from the hearts!
See you later.

Love is in the air, everywhere you look around

Hi all,
I hope you had a good weekend.  On Saturday, we went to visit my inlaws, as they had just returned from a month long cruise and had some presents for the girls.  They also wanted hubby to check the car tyres before they drove it as it had been sitting in the drive all month.  Hubby has gone off to Vienna for work this week, so it's just me and the girls.  I hopped on here quickly before doing the school and nursery run.  I have already done the shopping and the housework and thought I deserved a cup of coffee!
Over at Incy Wincy this week, we are sponsored by Doddle Dragon Studios and our theme is love is in the air (can't guess why!).  I made this for hubby, as he isn't very lovely dovey, but I loved this little dragon.  The gold cord was cut off our new blinds.  They were a bit long, so had to be shortened and I kept the cord in case it came in handy.
