Coffee and flowers

Hi all,
I hope you are having a good week. Yesterday, Daisy's preschool had a sponsored bike ride to raise some money for new equipment. It was a gorgeous day and all the children had a wonderful time. Most of the children took thier own bikes (Daisy had to borrow one as hers is still in a boat somewhere!), but I couldn't quite believe how competetive parents can be over if their child has stabilisers or not. Daisy uses them and will be for a while (she's only 4) and I don't quite see the need to pressure her off them.
I have two cards to share today. The digis are from a new digi shop - Jens Digi Stamps. The first card (above) uses a wonderful image called Need more coffee. I love this image and look like this minus the curlers until I've had a caffeine hit. I went for coffee coloured papers and the flowers are by prima and wild orchid.

The next card uses Girl dressed as a butterfly. I thought this little sweetie needed a flower to sit on, so I used magazine freebie papers made by Fancy Pants and cut some petals. I would like to enter this into Digital Tuesday challenge - Flower Power.
Jen is having a DT call , she is looking for Design Team Members. She would like someone who loves working with digital stamps, has an active blog, (posting at least once a week), good colouring and photography skills, able to take part in group challenges and blog hops to promote the release of new images etc. No DT experience is necessary. Please send her an email at jenniferbrhel@oh.rr.com with your blog address, a little about yourself and 3 images of your favorite creations you have done.

For my little monkey!

Hi all,

Well, only Friday to go and then it's the weekend! It's been raining for most of the week, so Martha and I have found indoor things to do. She's now wanting to walk and tows me around everywhere. Tomorrow, Daisy isn't in preschool, so we are going to meet up with some friends for lunch and a play.
Here's my weekly post to enter into the Stamp Fairy challenge. They have a fab sketch this week and as Martha is 1 (how did that happen?) next month, I thought I would make her a card. I'm not sure if it is a bit too old for her, but as hubby said, the card is more for us than her as she won't have a clue what is going on and will probably just want to take it apart. I used this fab Stamp Fairy monkey image. I printed him 3 times and then decoupaged him for depth. The papers are also by Stamp Fairy and I thought I would add a bit of texture with corrugated card and tried to add to a jungle feel with the leaves.

A bit more messy fun

Hi all,

My parents caught their train okay yesterday and their trip went well. Daisy asked them to stay longer as she didn't want them to go and is already asking when we can go and visit them.

It's time for another Creative Craft challenge. Before I talk about the theme, I would like to say that hopefully all will work well now. This fortnight, Mr linky went walkabout and then most of our recent posts seem to have been deleted and we can't get them back. But, hopefully it won't happen again. This challenge we are sponsored by Some Odd Girl, Rainbow Studio clear craft stamps and Crafty Individuals and we would like you to make your own design papers. I used

stamps by kaisercraft and SU and stamped in versamark and then used glimmer mists to make the background. The image is by Digistamp Boutique and is called Shelly and flowers. This is quite simple but I wanted the background to show. Please check out the projects by the rest of the DT.

A whole new world

Hi all,

What horrible weather we're having here. That's one thing I would have loved to bring from Sydney with me! We have finally finished getting all the boxes out of our attic and have to sort them. We only have two more attics' full to go (thank goodness for lovely friends and family).

We're off to take my parents to the station this morning. Their stay has gone really quickly and the girls will really miss the extra attention.

It's time for another Incy Wincy challenge and this week our very own teamie Netty has given us a fab sketch to use. I really loved using it and will do so again. We are sponsored by Sassy design studios, who are offering 4 digis to the winner. The DT were lucky enough to have some images to use and I chose Little Honey's Jasmine. I think Daisy's obsession with princesses and Disney films has rubbed off on me. I stayed with the princess theme and chose papers by Imaginisce and flowers by Prima. Please hop over and check out the fab projects from the rest of the DT.

Not too nice for camping

Hi all,

I hope you are having a good weekend. Ours has been busy, but fun. We're going for lunch with both sets of parents today, which should be good. I would like to say thank you for the awards I have been given and I promise to post about them soon.

I made this card this morning for Father's day as I haven't had time before and as I was up with the girls at 5.45am I had some spare time! This uses a sweet image from Stamp Fairy and papers from Summertime Designs. I chose the camping image for my Dad as he used to be a scout leader and often talks about the skills they all learnt while out and about. I want to enter this into the Stamp Fairy challenge - masculine. I would like to say thank you so much to all at Stamp Fairy who chose me for the top three for last week's challenge. I love taking part and the images are fab!

A time to get inky

Hi all,
I can't believe it is Wednesday already. We have been busy all week, but I'm not really sure what with! It was my Mum's birthday on Monday and it was lovely to be able to spend it with her. My parents are still here and I think the girls will be upset when they leave next week as they are loving all the attention.

I made this for my Mum. The image is by Tim Holtz and is stamped on a background of Victorian velvet and vintage photo distress inks. It took me ages to stamp the image cleanly and I ended up with ink everywhere. The ribbon is from my stash and I'm not sure where the papers are from, sorry.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

Bearly mine challenges - anything goes

Hooked on craft - anything goes

Oh no! Not a male card

Hi all,

I hope you had a wonderful weekend. We went to Beamish on Saturday. It's an open air museum. There was so much to see, we didn't get around it all. We then went out in the evening (taking advantage of my parents being here to babysit!) We went to a charity race night and had loads of fun catching up with people we last saw two years ago.

It's Monday and so it is time for another Incy Wincy challenge. This week we are being sponsored by our very own teamie Nikki from Limited Runs. The prize is any three digis from her fab shop. As Father's day is coming up here very soon, the theme is father's day/masculine projects. I used a wonderful giraffe image by ATTCC. The brown textured card is from a box of chocolates and I thought it matched well with the giraffe. The gold ribbon is also from the chocolate box. Please check out the fab projects from the rest of the DT.

What another one?

Hi all,

Yippee, it's the weekend tomorrow. We had a bit of a lazy day today which was nice as we seemed to be running around everywhere this week. We went to lunch at a friend's house. Daisy was friends with my friend's daughter before we left two years ago, and it was amazing how quickly they got on again and disappeared for hours.

Well, I have another baby card for you as the Stamp Fairy challenge is all about new babies. I decided not to go for blue or pink this time and I quite like it. I tried to make it like a child's patchwork quilt and used this cute Stamp Fairy baby peapod image.

What's moving?

Hi all,

Yesterday the weather was quite nice, which makes a change from the rain we've been having. We went to a great garden centre that has a large outdoor play area and a soft play which the girls loved. Once they were tired out, we looked around the shop. I want to get some new plants, as our garden has been neglected by the tenants for 2 years and so it is a bit like a jungle. We have spent many evenings digging things up and weeding.

This week at Creative Craft, the theme is moving parts. I had a bit of trouble deciding what to do, but then I found these gorgeous images from stamp fairy. The swing is in an aperture and then moves. The papers are by Summertime Designs. Please check out the fab projects by the rest of the DT.

Fancy a game?

Hi all,

I hope you had a good weekend. We finally got into the loft and I found all the crafty things I didn't take to Sydney with me. I hadn't realised I had left so much, but at least I have some things to use now. We have a house full of boxes now as I want to sort everything out and decide if we are keeping things before I find a home for them.

This week at Incy Wincy we have a game of tic tac toe for you. Here is the board and you can choose one row and use the items in that row.

For my card I used the diagonal of ribbon, lace and glitter/stickles. We are sponsored by the Digi Doodle shop this week, who are offering a $10 gift certificate to the winner. I used a lovely image by the Digi Doodle shop. The ribbon is on the left hand side - it is there, honestly! I hope you have the chance to join in.

Yippee - I can join in again!

Hi all,
I hope you are having a good weekend. My parents came up on Thursday for a couple of weeks. It's nice to see them. Martha hadn't met them before, but she's really taken to them and Daisy loves having someone else to boss around!

I am so pleased that I am able to join in the Stamp Fairy challenges again as I love the images and the challenges are such fun. I don't have much stash, but enough! This week, there is a fab sketch by Gerda and I used her lovely image called Baby Dotty and her teddy, as a friend of ours had a baby girl last week and I wanted to make her a card. The papers are by Imaginisce and the embellishments are from my stash.

Yes, I know it's blue.

Hi all,

I can't believe it's Wednesday already. Daisy has been off preschool this week as it is half term and Martha has enjoyed having her sister around to play with. This afternoon we went to a birthday tea party of my friend's two year old son. She has a daughter who is threee months older than Daisy, so they disappeared for a lot of the time but reappeared for the food.

I made this card for the birthday boy. I don't usually like to use the stereotypical colours only but I don't have many papers at the moment (the air freight arrived last Friday but I only had room for a small crafting bag of goodies in it) and so had to go for these. The image is by ArTish from Michelle's scrapbooking and more. It does have balloons behind the chair, but I made such a mess of colouring them in, I cut them off. I haven't got the printer sorted out yet, so I couldn't just print out another image.
