Hi all,
I hope you had a lovely weekend. The sun has been shining today, although it has been very windy. At least I managed to get some washing out on the line for the first time in months. I didn't have work today, so after the housework, I have been preparing for the craft club I do after school on Wednesdays. It's at our village church hall and I get about 14 children between 4 and 12 for a couple of hours (they can stay between half an hour and 2 hours). I love doing it, but need lots of ideas, as I do four different activities, plus sewing. We have already sewn owls and they are now onto patchwork bags at the request of one of the girls.
Over at Incy Wincy, we are sponsored by Meljen's Designs, and our them is ocean animals. I have used this fab octopus and have used papers from a range of designers all from my scrap box.
See you later.

The very best at being bad ...
Hi all,
Where has the time gone? I was teaching 2 and a half days last week and the time seemed to fly by. Martha had an extra day in nursery, which she seemed happy about, although I had the usual guilt about leaving her. Anyway, I enjoyed teaching, although one and a half days in a reception class was very tiring. I'm used to slightly older children, so having 20 4 and 5 year olds was fun but wearing!
Over at CRAFT, our theme is queen for a day/fantasy/ bling. I am using this wonderful image by Sassy Studios, one of our sponsors. I know she is a wicked queen, but she is fabulous. I have had the textured paper for years and just thought it went perfectly.

Owl be there ...
Hi all,
I can't believe that it is Monday already. I hope you had a good weekend. Ours consisted of ferrying the girls to dance and drama lessons and then we made the most of the bit of sun we had and played outside. I have been catching up on housework today as I have work tomorrow, Thursday and Friday and won't get it done.
Over at Incy Wincy, we have a wonderful sketch for you from our teamie, Karen. I loved making this card as I like lots of layers. I have used Whootie Owl by Limited Runs, one of our sponsors and didn't use any embellishments as I couldn't find any that fitted with it all.

Youer than you
Hi all,
I can't believe it's the weekend already. Daisy is shattered after her first week back at school, so she was asleep early tonight and so I thought I would have a quick hop on here.
Over at CRAFT, we have a fab sketch for you. I have used an image by one of our sponsors, Bugaboo. I love the sentiment and think it is so true. It took me a very long time to work out that I was happy being me and didn't need to be more thin, clever, popular, etc to be happy in my own skin.
See you later.

Purr-fect!
Hi all,
I hope you had a good weekend. Daisy went back to school today after the Easter holidays and she had a lovely time. I think she was desperate to see her friends. Martha went to nursery today and came back with red paint in her hair and her toe nails, so she obviously had a good time too!
Over at Incy Wincy, we are sponsored by Cedar Chest Designs and Delicious Doodles and our theme is feathers or fur. I have used an image called Just purr-fect from Delicious Doodles. I am not really a cat person, but Martha is desperate to have one. She points them out all the time and even calls hot dog sausages hot cats! Daisy, however, would like a dog, so we will compromise and have neither for the time being, I think!

It's really not beginning to look at lot like Christmas
Hi all,
I can't believe that Daisy's Easter holiday is almost over. We went swimming today and Martha had fun tipping water over our heads with a plastic watering can!
Well, the weather has been quite Christmassy lately (although I am hoping it is now over), but it really is only April. I have this title because over at CRAFT this week, our theme is Christmas. I have used an image called Christmas rooftop by Hope Jacare, one of our sponsors. The papers are magazine freebies.
See you later.

Up, up and away
Hi all,
Daisy is still on holiday from school, so we went to a soft play yesterday and then she spent most of today playing with the girl next door who had come to visit her Dad. Tomorrow, Martha is also home as she only has nursery on Mondays and Tuesdays, so we will have to find somewhere to go.
Over at Incy Wincy, our theme is to use the out of the box technique. If you aren't sure about this, there is a link to a tutorial on the challenge blog. This is the first time I have tried it, and should have had both bunny ears out of the frame, but one was cut off. Ooops. The papers are magazine freebies.

Celebrate
Hi all,
Here is another of my slightly late DT cards. Yesterday we went to a naming ceremony of the fourth son of some of hubby's old school friends, and then we stayed the night at my in laws. This afternoon, we went to a friend's son's first birthday party. I was glad to get home and sit down!
Over at CRAFT, our theme is recycle. Daisy went to a friend's birthday party last Friday and this is the card I made. The ribbon was a hanging loop from a dress and the flower is from some packaging.

Aaagh!
Hi all,
I'm sorry I have been absent again. I have been trying to get back to normal and then we went down to my parents in Somerset for a week over Easter, so I didn't have a lot of time to blog. The girls had so much chocolate, we have hidden some for later.
I am very late with this and will have to post another late card soon. Over at Incy Wincy, our theme is to make a project to celebrate a bizarre or wacky holiday and we have a link to a website on our blog which has a lot of ideas.
I have used Soak Bear by Dustin Pike, our sponsor and my holiday is bubble bath day, which takes place on 8th January.
See you soon.
