Autumn is here

Well, for many of you Autumn has arrived. Over here it is Spring and pouring with rain!

We had a busy weekend as Daisy was invited to two birthday parties (she has a better social life than me) and so I had to make cards and find suitable presents. Daisy is in kindy today so I took the opportunity to craft while Martha slept.

On to the card. I have used a stamp by Kraftin Kimmie. The papers are by Hot off the Press and I love the leaves one. I am entering it into two challenges: Allsorts - Colours of Autumn and Incy Wincy Designs - Autumn colours.

Yet more pink!

I seem to be in a pink phase at the moment. I'm not really sure why as I prefer purple!

I hope you all had a fab weekend. Yesterday was Father's Day over here and Daisy decided she wanted to bake Daddy a cake, so at 8am we were up to our eyes in flour and blue buttercream icing. It did taste yummy, although I forgot it and left it in the oven ten minutes too long. Ooops!

Daisy is in nursery today and Martha is sleeping so I took the chance to make a card. The paper is from Karen Foster designs and I haven't used it before because it's too pretty to cut up. The border punch is by SU and the image is Penny Black. I'm entering it into the Penny Black at Allsorts challenge which this month is Punch Away. The DT call is still on, so I am entering that, too.

Pretty in Pink

Evening all,

Martha and Daisy are both asleep (hooray!) so I've decided to post my most recent card. A friend has just given birth to a beautiful baby girl, so I made this to celebrate. The image is from Pink Petticoat. I've printed it three times and decoupaged it. The dragonfly and beads for the pin are from my sadly neglected jewellery stash. When I have at least 30 hours in a day, I might have time to use it again!

I'm entering this into Papertake Weekly - Just the one - I have kept to one colour and Crafty Cardmakers - Glitter and Sparkles.

Just a little one

Hi,
I love trying out new shpaes of cards and I saw this in a magazine so had a go at it. It is only 9cm square when tied up so smaller than I'm used to, but just right for these PB stamps I bought last week. The paper is from the DCWV garden party pack. I'm entering it into allsorts - take inspiration from a park or garden and Penny Black Saturday Challenge - Summer Lovin'.

Back to school

Daisy has been in kindy all day and Martha had a nap (for once not on me), so I decided to make a card. Over in England, children are getting ready to go back to school so this is a card on this theme. I decided to make a card that looks a bit like a school bag. The image is a digi stamp from Charmed cards and crafts. I printed it twice and decoupaged it. The photos show the inside and outside of the card. I'm entering it into Stamp Something challenge which is Back to School. They are also holding a DT call so I am going to try that too. I'm also entering this into the Incy Wincy designs challenge which is also Back to School.

Getting organised!

Well, this is a first for me - a Christmas card in August! I really need to get organised if I'm going to make them this year as I'm not getting an awful lot of spare time at the moment! I have used a digi stamp for Charmed cards and crafts. The snowflake paper is a shiny foil wrapping paper I saved last year thinking it would come in useful sometime. I have used glitter on the tinsel on the image. The metal snowflakes have been in my stash for ages and I found them lurking at the bottom of a basket. I'm entering this into the Sir Stampalot challenge - Bring on the bling. I hope there is enough bling on it. Also I'm entering it into Creative Inspirations - Christmas in August and Stamp Something - use something digi.

Yes it really is me!

Hi, I'm back and hopefully able to get into blogging and crafting again. Martha is now a month old. I was averaging 2 hours sleep a night for the first fortnight, but thankfully she has adapted well into sleeping more at night. The only problem now is she will sleep in her moses basket at night but wants to sleep on me in the day. I'm writing this with Martha dozing on my lap. Anyway, I've starting crafting again as I was getting withdrawal symptoms.

Over to the card, Penny black at Allsorts have the theme glitter and glitz for this month. I have used a stamp I love, although my hubby said I need to be careful who I send it to as they might be upset I sent them a cow. I think she's cute. I used glitter on her boots and some lovely gem swirls I bought yesterday. The blog is also having a DT call and so in a moment of madness I have decided to have a go at it.
