Fancy a drink?

Hi all,
I'm sorry I'm a day late with this, but I completely forgot to post it yesterday. My parents left today. It was lovely to have them up and the girls really enjoyed playing with them. I am now madly washing the bedclothes as we have some friends and their children coming up tomorrow to stay for the night as it's New Year's Eve and we prefer staying in with friends than going out and freezing. I know, I sound so old! The spotty paper is by Funky Hand. I'm not sure about the swirl one. The shapes are cut with my Grand Calibur - I have finally had time to play with it.
Over at CRAFT we are sponsored by Lia Stampz and Sew Many Digital Stamps. Our theme this week is New Year, and I have used Miki Celebrates by Sew Many. I hope you can find the time to join us. I'll be back soon with hubby's birthday card.

Walking in a winter wonderland

Hi all,
I hope you had a wonderful Christmas day. Daisy was so excited, she was awake at 4am. I wasn't particularly impressed! We had a lovely family day, with good company, food and presents.
Over at Incy Wincy, we are sponsored by Meljen's Designs. Our theme this week is Winter Wonderland, so I have used a blue and white colour scheme. Please check out the projects from the rest of the fab DT.
I'm sorry this is short and sweet, but I am going to go and play with my daughters and their new toys!
I will see you soon.

Jelly bean, anyone?

Hi all,
We had a lovely day chilling at home today. I bought a make your own gingerbread house kit, so me, the girls and my Mum made it this morning. Martha ate more jelly beans than she decorated the house with, but we all enjoyed it and ended up covered in icing sugar. We then headed out to the park, but nearly got blown away by the wind, so we came back sharpish.
Over at CRAFT, our theme is pastels for Christmas, so you can make any really last minute projects. We are sponsored by Robyn's Fetish and 2 cute rubber stamps. I have used Christie Angel by Robyn's Fetish. The handmade paper is by Pie Lane, and the sentiment paper is from Funky Hand.

5 sleeps to go!

Hi all,
I bought my last present today and now it's only the food to sort. Daisy is getting more and more excited so I am finding lots of things to do to wear her out!
I don't have a share today, but I want to let you know that Creative Craft has a new challenge, which is white on white Christmas. It isn't my team's turn this fortnight, and I usually take part anyway, but I am busy with preparations and want to spend time with my Mum and Dad, so I didn't make a card this time. Please check out the fab projects from my teamies and I will be back in a day or two.

Going round in circles

Hi all,
I hope you all had a good weekend. My parents arrived safely on Friday. Daisy was very pleased to see them. Martha is getting used to them again as she sees them on skype but hasn't met them many times. On Saturday we went to meet Santa. We paid just for Daisy as Martha is quite scared of him, but the elves were lovely as they gave Martha a little present too. On Sunday we visited my in laws to exchange presents as they are off to Berlin for Christmas to stay with hubby's oldest brother and family.
Over at Incy Wincy, we are sponsored by A day for daisies, who kindly gave the DT some images to use. Our theme is to make a circle card and I have used Candy Elf A by A day for daisies. I don't yet have any large nesties, so I found a plastic circle template in my stash and drew around this for my circle layers. The flowers are by Wild Orchid and prima.

A blue birthday

Hi all,
I know, I'm not normally posting on a Friday, but I had to make a birthday card for our friends little girl who is 2. We woke up to snow today and it was the nativity play at Daisy's school this morning. I wasn't sure whether to go or not, but we did make it safely. My parents are driving up today to spend Christmas here. I am expecting a call soon to let me know where they are. I'll be happier when they are here safe.
Anyway, the image on my card is by Stamp Fairy. I have used my label nesties and some paper from a popcorn the bear CD I printed off a while ago and forgot about. The rosette uses sparkly card by Pie Lane. It's my first attempt at a rosette and I quite like the effect.

Can you spot a heart on this?!

Please scroll down for my Digital Delights DT post
Hi all,
Over at CRAFT this week, we are sponsored by My Creative Classroom and Bows and Berries. Our theme is a Christmas card with a removable item. Now, I found this quite a challenge, but eventually I decided to make Martha's Christmas card and include a tree decoration. I chose the image Elfie by Bows and Berries and have taken the heart theme for the decoration.
Have a great day.

We're off to see the windows...

Hi all,
Martha and I are off to Newcastle to meet friends and see the display in Fenwick's window. It's a department store, which always does a Christmas display for children in its windows. We then have to buy some presents for Daisy's teachers as I had completely forgotten about it. Ooops!
It's time for my weekly show of Digital Delights products. I have used my Grand Calibur to cut and emboss a tag and have added Skier Slippy from Digital Delights. I have used pearls from my stash and that's it. Fairly easy, but I like it.
I'll be back later with my CRAFT DT post.

Cards by Daisy

Hi all,
Daisy's performance was lovely. The reception class were all dressed as angels and had lines to say, a song to sing and a rhyme. They were the stars of the show (I know I am biased!) We are now at home, keeping out of the way of the wind. I had to drive to get Martha from nursery earlier and was so glad to get home.
Yesterday Daisy made some cards for her teachers and support assistants. She said what she wanted to do and I helped decide how to do it. Daisy did nearly all the cutting out (I helped with Santa's boots) and all the sticking, painting, etc. She gave them out today and said everyone liked them. I hope you don't mind me showing them to you, but she was very proud of them.

I'll be back tomorrow with another card. Have a lovely evening.

It's up!

Hi all,
I hope you all had a good weekend. Ours started with some snow, but thankfully that went quite quickly. We got our tree on Saturday and the girls helped us decorate it. There were a set of lights spare, so Daisy put them in her room. I can't see them coming out too quickly. She is so excited, and also 'borrowed' some tinsel to put in her room.
I am off to see her in the school play this afternoon. I was going to go tomorrow morning with hubby, but Daisy wanted someone both days, so I said I would come along Monday (I'm not sure if this is instead of or as well as Tuesday!)
Over at Incy Wincy, we are sponsored by Nicecrane, who are offering the winner a $15 gift certificate. The DT were given some images to play with for our theme, which this week is Christmas AND use brads. I have loads of brads, but keep forgetting to use them. I almost forgot to put them on my projects here too! I used two Nicecrane images and made some tags. As the images are quite vintage-y I used traditional Christmas colours.

Hi again,
The time has come for my weekly show of Digital Delights products. As I have lots more tags to make, I thought I would make one this week. I have used a lovely image by Wendy, called Jingles and tree. I have used freebie papers again and corrugated card from my stash. Please check out the fab projects from the rest of the DT.
I hope you have a lovely rest of the week.

A little bit sketchy

Hi all,
I can't believe how few days there are left until Christmas. I am nearly sorted present wise, but nowhere near sorted for Christmas cards and tags. Aaagh! Daisy is very excited as she is rehearsing for her nativity play. As the school only has 50 pupils in it, the whole school takes part in the play and the reception class are all angels. They had to take in white sheets for their costumes and Daisy is very proud of the line she has to say. I can't wait to see it next week.
Over at CRAFT, we are sponsored by Glitterbabe and Floppy Latte. We have a wonderful sketch for you to use. I have rotated the sketch 90 degrees to suit the Glitterbabe image I have chosen to use. The label die cuts were cut with my new Grand Calibur (I love the machine, although I haven't had a lot of playing time) and the ribbon and pearls were from my stash.
Please check back later for my Digital Delights post.

It's a stitch up!

Hi all,
Well, we had some snow yesterday. Daisy was very excited, as she hasn't seen snow for 2 years and one thing she was looking forward to when we moved back here was snow at Christmas. I think I liked the hot weather of Sydney! I'm hoping we won't get too much bad weather, as my parents are due up here next week and I won't want them driving in snowy conditions.
Over at Creative Craft, we are sponsored by Joanna Sheen and Stamping Boutique. Our theme this fortnight is stitching, real or faux. I decided to make an easel box card, and followed a fab tutorial from the wonderful Brenda. The dress form and thread advert are from The graphics fairy and the other images are from the haberdashery stamp set by Joanna Sheen. As soon as I saw the theme, I thought it would be a perfect time to get inky. I don't get my proper stamps and inks out as much as I should, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I used antique linen and bundled sage distress ink for the background, and then stamped with antique linen and a darker brown ink pad. I also spritzed the background with glimmer mist. The bobbin has been wound with thread and is popped out on a 3D foam pad for depth.
The backing paper is by Basic Grey and I have used a metal bobbin from my sewing machine kit for the drawer handle. This shows the construction and the stamped tape measure on the base.

I also decided to make a tag, using an image from the Stamping Boutique. This time, I used faux stitching and a mix of pink Christmas papers. I need to make lots more tags, but as this one is nearly the size of a small card, I need to make them smaller and less time consuming.
Sorry for the photo heavy post here. I do hope you can join us this fortnight.

Another blue Christmas

Hi all,
I hope you had a good weekend. Ours was lovely, but busy, as they all seem to be at the moment. We went to a local Christmas market in Alnwick on Saturday and then Daisy went to a birthday party at a soft play on Sunday. The next birthday in the class will be Daisy's, so I now have to think about what to do for her. No doubt she will have much to say about what she wants!
Over at Incy Wincy this week, we are sponsored by the wonderful Prairie Fairy. Our theme is non traditional Christmas colours. I have used a lovely image by Prairie Fairy, and have used a blue colour scheme. I have used glitter on the wings, although it doesn't show up very well on the photo. I have always thought that traditional colours are a bit over-rated, although I have used them a bit more this year for certain projects. The papers are more magazine freebies and the embellishments are from my stash. Please check out the fab projects from the rest of the wonderful DT.

Hi again,
Here is my Digital Delights project. The wonderful Wendy has some fantastic new releases for you today. I am using Skating Donita and also the Winter Background. The snowflake papers and the sentiment are also from Digital Delights. I have used puff paint to create the snow. The flowers are by Prima, and the lace, brads, pearls and gems are from my stash.
Have a great rest of the week,

Hi all,
I hope you are having a good week. Daisy was off school yesterday because of the strikes, so she and Martha had fun at toddlers and then they played at home as the weather was too bad to go too far.
Over at CRAFT this week, we are sponsored by Lauretta's digi images and Crimson Cloud. Our theme is Christmas present - so maybe the image shows presents, or your project is a present for someone. I have used Pingo by Lauretta's and have made a tag to go on a huge candy cane that we will put into Daisy's stocking. I am sure that Martha will want a bit too, but she wouldn't manage a whole one, so we will find something else for her stocking. The papers are more magazine freebies and the ribbon is from hobbycraft.
I will be back later with my Digital Delights inspiration.

I'm here!

Hi all,
I am back and I promise I will visit you tonight. Last week was the show. I really enjoyed it, but I was out every evening and hardly saw my hubby all week. Daisy loved performing too, and it was videoed on the Saturday, so we will have to get one just so my parents can see Daisy (and me!) I think I will fast forward all my parts though as it will be a bit weird seeing myself. This week is a bit more normal, although Martha is home from nursery today as she has a horrible cold and a bit of a temperature. Hopefully she will be better to go tomorrow though as I really need to clean the house. It has been neglected a little bit.
Anyway, it's time for another challenge at Incy Wincy. This week, we are sponsored by Limited Runs, which is owned by our teamie Nikki. We would like you to create a project that includes a tree. I have used Little Tree by Limited Runs. The papers are more magazine freebies. They have a bit of glitter in them, but it isn't showing too well on the photo. Please check out the projects from the rest of the DT. We are also holding a DT call at Incy Wincy. Please hop over and check out the details if you would like to join our friendly team.

Please scroll down for my CRAFT DT project.
Hi again,
Here is my show for Digital Delights. I have bought the girls a decorate it yourself Gingerbread house for Christmas, so I thought I would make a tag for it. I have used Oops a Daisy Ginger, and the papers are more magazine freebies. Yes, I know I have used the flower punches again, but I think they are great!
I'm sorry I've not visited you this week, but I'll see you soon when the show is over and I have more time.

Hi all,
Wow, Thursday already. Last night was the first performance of Annie. It went well. I couldn't believe how nervous I was, but I relaxed once I got my first song over with. Daisy is in it tonight, and she is so excited as her Daddy is coming to watch.
Over at CRAFT this week, we are sponsored by craft obsessions and The stamping boutique and our theme is Unusual Christmas. So, non-traditional colours, a non-Christmas image or anything else unusual for a Christmas project would be great. I have used Princess Gwendolyn, from The stamping boutique, which isn't really a Christmas image, but I thought it would be great for Daisy's Christmas card, as she loves all things pink and princessy. The papers are a mix of Basic Grey and Funky Hand and the flowers are by Prima.
I will be back with my Digital Delights project soon.

Do what you want!

Hi all,
I'm having a quick coffee and blog before I go and do more jobs while I have no children. I didn't get back from the rehearsal yesterday until 11pm, so think I might have a little nap later, too, especially as Daisy and I have a rehearsal tonight too. It's earlier tonight, although I will have to force Daisy to have a nap on the way there, because she will never last otherwise. 9pm will be late for her.
Over at Creative Craft, we are sponsored by Meljen's and letraset. I don't own any promarkers or copics, but am thinking maybe I should have a try as everyone I see gets brilliant results from them. Our theme this fortnight is anything goes - an easy one for you. It's Team A's turn to make creations this time, but I have decided to join in even though I am in Team B, mainly because it is a good excuse to get another Christmas card done and dusted. I have used a tree image from Meljen's for my card. The papers are a mix of makes, including Basic Grey and DCWV, but as they are all scraps, I couldn't tell where they are all from. Have a good day and I'll be back on Thursday if I'm not too tired.
I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

Lothian crafts - Christmas
The Crafty Pad - Red, green and gold or silver (there is gold on the star paper).

Where did it go?

Hi all,
Wow, Monday already. The weekend went so quickly. On Saturday, Daisy had a swimming lesson, Martha went to a 2nd birthday party and then I had a rehearsal for Annie and then on Sunday Daisy and I had another rehearsal. It's the show this week, from Wednesday to Saturday, so I am out every night this week. I'm really enjoying this, as is Daisy, but I will be glad to have some more time back.
Over at Incy Wincy, we are sponsored by Fred, She Said, this week. They are offering a $20 gift certificate for their store to the lucky winner. Our theme this week is a colour challenge. We would like you to use brown, orange and yellow on your project. I have used a sweet image by Fred, She Said, called Emma and the chickadee. I thought the colours might be a bit dull, but I really like the colour combination. Please check out the rest of the projects from the DT on the blog.

Another non Christmas card!

Please scroll down for my Digital Delights DT card.

Hi again,
As promised, here is my CRAFT DT card. This week, we are sponsored by Bugaboo stamps, and our theme is Stars. I have used a cute Bugaboo image called Wee one fairy Big Star. The flowers are by Prima and the papers are by Kate Knight and the glittery one didn't have a name on it. Please check out the wonderful projects from the rest of the DT.
Have a great rest of the week.

What no Christmas card?

Hi all,
Thursday already. Isn't time flying by? Yesterday, Martha and I went to toddlers and then had fun playing at home. She has a lot of fun at nursery, but I think some times she likes just pottering around at home.
It's time for my weekly show of Digital Delights goodies. This week, I have used Casey goes fishing and I went for a non Christmas card as I have many birthdays to make cards for at this time. The card is quite plain, as I find male cards quite difficult and don't have a lot of male embellishments. Please check out the fab projects from the rest of the DT. I'll be back later with my CRAFT card.

Eyes down, are you ready to play?

Hi all,
Monday already. I hope you had a wonderful weekend. Daisy and I went to the hairdressers on Saturday as Daisy couldn't see through her fringe and I hadn't been for many months. Martha still has no hair, so didn't need to come along! I now have a fringe, which I have always been worried about, since I went for a bob haircut with a fringe a few years ago and ended up looking like Jonny Depp when he played Willy Wonka! But, it is quite nice, as the rest of my hair is still quite long. Daisy and I had our musical rehearsal again on Sunday. The show starts next week, so we have lots of rehearsals to go to now, so if I'm not around, you know where I am! Also, my Grand Calibur arrived about an hour ago, but I am being very good and getting all my jobs done first, because otherwise I will get so engrossed that I will get nothing else done.
Over at Incy Wincy, we are sponsored by Mami Doodles, who let the DT have a play with some of their images. We are playing tic tac toe this week, so hop over to the blog to check the board. I used the image Little black dress (although mine is red!) and chose the line red, flowers and stitching (faux). The papers are more that came free with a magazine (I am on a mission to use papers I have before I get many more). Have a good rest of the day.

Just too cute

Please scroll down for my Digital Delights DT card.

Hi again,
I'm back with my CRAFT DT card. This week, we are sponsored by The Crafty Pad and 2Cute rubber stamps. Our theme is cute and I have used Owl Sparklers by 2Cute. I love this image and chose bright colours to echo the fireworks theme on my card. Please check out the projects by the rest of the DT. Have a good rest of the week.

A bit of white

Hi all,
Yesterday, Martha and I went to toddlers and then played at home as the weather was awful. Daisy was meant to be going to the woods with school on Tuesday, but it was cancelled because of the weather. I hope it stops soon, as I have so much washing to dry.
Here is my Digital Delights show. This week, I have used Snowie McFee. I have used mostly white, which still scares me a bit. I embossed the top using my score board, and ripped card for snowy hills on the bottom. The lace is my last snippet from Wild Orchid, and the card corner is also my last one. I must get some more soon.

It's my birthday and I'll buy if I want to!

Hi all,
It's a wet and dull day today, but, as the title suggests, it's my birthday. The girls are at nursery and school, so I have a lovely day of housework ahead of me! I am hoping to get online to buy a die cutting machine with my birthday money, but I'm not quite sure which to get. I did have a big shot ages ago but managed to break it, so I need a heavy duty one really and I do love the grand nesties so I'll do some research. I am managing to craft without one, but there are so many fab dies around, that I think I do NEED one! I am at a rehearsal this evening, so hubby and I will be going out to celebrate both our birthdays in December when my parents are up and can babysit.
It is time for another challenge at Creative Craft. This week, we are sponsored by Crafty ribbons, Stampin Dragon and Paper makeup. We are going Clean and simple this fortnight. Now, I find this difficult as I do love lots of embellies and DP's. I have used a snowman digi by stampin Dragon. I printed directly onto the base card and then cut out some of the background to show the snowflake paper (by Digital Delights) behind. I did a bit of colouring, added some glitter and that's it.

Oooh! Aaah!

Hi all,
I hope you had a wonderful weekend. We went to a firework display on Saturday. It's the first time Daisy has seen them as she's usually asleep by the time they start. She and Martha loved them and I was amazed by how long the display went on for. It was at least 15 minutes. Yesterday, Daisy and I had another Annie rehearsal, while Martha had some Daddy time.
This week, Incy Wincy are being sponsored by Tiffany Doodles, who generously gave the DT some images to play with. Our theme this week is stitching, real or faux. I have chosen to use flower and mushrooms and I actually dug out my sewing machine for this. Don't look too closely, as the stitching is a bit wonky, but I like to think it is adding to the vintage/shabby chic look! The papers are by DCWV and papermania. I have layered the flower and mushrooms for a little bit of depth. Please check out the projects from the rest of the fab DT.

Can we fix it?

For my Digital Delights post, please scroll down.

Hello again,
Over at CRAFT, the theme this week is family games/board games/activities. I wasn't sure what to do for this at first, but when I saw this image by one of our sponsors, bows and berries, I remembered this fab paper I had (can't remember who it is by, sorry ) and thought it would go well together. I have cut out some tools from the paper to use as embellishments and then just added ribbons. I have kept this quite simple, as I feel it would be good for a boy's birthday. Daisy has a class mate's party on Saturday, so this might be his card. I hope you have a great rest of the day.

Just the fruit for me, please.

Hi all,
This week has gone quite quickly. Thursday already. Martha and I went to toddlers yesterday and had a great time. It's always nice to play with someone else's toys for a while! One of the mums made a blueberry cake. It was lovely, but Martha just wanted to pick all the blueberries off to eat and left the cake! I suppose it could be worse.
It's time for my weekly showcase of Digital Delights products. As it is the first Thursday of the month, Wendy has some fantastic new releases. I have used Poppet the Fairy, and just love this cute image. The sentiment is also by Digital Delights. I have gone for traditional colours again. The green background was a gift bag and the papers were free with a magazine. The flowers are by Prima and Wild Orchid.

On the first day of Christmas

Hi all,
Martha had a lovely nursery party yesterday and Daisy had great fun at school. Her favourite bit was when her teacher gave them all a bit of green candy floss for a treat as it was Halloween!
Now for something a bit different! The wonderful Wendy from Digital Delights has designed some fantastic digis based on the song the 12 days of Christmas. I am kicking it off with the Partridge in a pear tree. I have used handmade paper and script fabric I had lying around just begging to be used. I've never really liked making Christmas cards in traditional colours, but that's what I've been doing a lot of this year and I now like the colour combination. Don't forget to check the blog for the next 12 days to see fantastic projects from my teamies and of course to see the fab new images.

I am finally here!

Hi all,
I hope you had a good weekend. We met some friends on Saturday and went to a museum, which had a pumpkin trail for the kids. Daisy loved it and loved the lolly she got for completing it, too! Yesterday, Daisy and I had a very long musical rehearsal. There's only 4 weeks before the shows, so we have lots to do. Martha's nursery are having a little halloween party today, so she went dressed as a witch. We don't really do Halloween things, but I didn't want her to be left out at nursery, which is why we got her an outfit. I'm spending the day catching up on everything should have done last week, but didn't get around to doing.
This Monday, Incy Wincy are sponsored by Meljen's Designs, who are offering 4 digis to the lucky winner. Our theme is dots and stripes. I have used Robbie the Robot by Meljen's. The papers are by Hot off the Press and Stamp Fairy. I have followed a sketch by The Sweet Stop. I must admit that it looks a bit bare to me, but I think it would be good for a little boy. Have a good rest of the day.

Ooops!

Hi all,
I have never been so glad to see the end of a week. It was my friend's funeral today, which was more of a celebration of her life really, as her children were there. There were so many people there, some had to stand outside the church and listen through speakers.
I am a day late for my CRAFT challenge post this week. This week we are sponsored by AiFactory, who are offering the winner 2 digi images from their store. We have a colour challenge this week - colour Savannah, and here are the colours:
My image is from My first rainbow set, by AiFactory. I have used papers that were a magazine freebie years ago, and paper pieced the bird. The flowers are from Wild orchid and the ribbon is from my stash. Please check out the rest of the fab projects by the DT.

What shall we do today?

Hi all,
It was lovely to be home all day yesterday. Daisy and Martha played together for most of the day, so they must have missed each other. We have no plans for today, but if Daisy feels ok, we will head out somewhere so she can have a bit of a half term holiday.
It's time for my weekly show of Digital Delights products. I have used Wendy's image, called Hugging Ghosts. The paper is more from the nameless digi freebie I have. The star brads and ribbon are from my stash.
Don't forget to pop back for my CRAFT card.

A late Monday post

Hi all,
Thank you so much for your lovely comments to my last post. As the title reads, this should have been posted on Monday, but Daisy was admitted to hospital on Sunday with breathing difficulties. I stayed with her and hubby looked after Martha, the house, his work (pretty amazing really!) She was discharged this afternoon and we were both desperate to get out of the four walls. Daisy has to take an inhaler every four hours, but is so much better and doesn't need extra oxygen any more.
Anyway, this week at Incy Wincy, we are sponsored by Digital Delights, who kindly gave us some images to play with. This week we would like to see Halloween projects, using the colours orange, black and purple. I have used Gillie the ghost, who looks such a sweet little fella. The papers were free digi downloads, but I can't find where from, sorry. Please check out the projects from the rest of the DT.

A difficult card to make

Hi all,
As the title says, this was the hardest card I have ever made. I wasn't sure whether to post it or not, but I thought it might explain why I might not be very chatty for a little while. On Thursday, I received the news that a friend of mine from the village died suddenly. I had lunch with her on the Wednesday and she was full of life. I met her years ago at the local toddler group when Daisy was a baby and Daisy and her middle daughter became good friends. She was known by everyone in the village and was a wonderful person. It was such a shock and it still hasn't really sunk in yet. It is so tragic that her three daughters have been left with no mother.
My card is very simple, but to be honest, I really didn't feel like doing anything and have little motivation to craft. I have never before stamped directly onto the card, but this is a one layer card. The ink is victorian velvet, the flower is a stamp by Stampin up and the sentiment is by personal impressions. Thank you for listening to my waffle and I hope you have a great weekend.

Party time

For my CRAFT DT post, please scroll down.
Hi all,
The time has come for my weekly show of Digital Delights images. This week, I am using Party Pippin and a Happy Birthday sentiment. I love this image, as it could be used for so many events and I think he looks like he's had a wonderful time! The papers are both handmade. The flowers on this paper are flocked and there is glitter inside each flower. The feathers, flowers, thread and pearls are from my stash.

I can't believe it's nearly half term already

Hi all,
Thanks for your messages about my sore head - thankfully it's feeling better now. Martha and I will probably go to a soft play this morning, as the children are off for half term from Friday and I don't like it when the places are too busy. Daisy's parent's evening went well. The only thing is she can be a bit bossy, but hopefully that will disappear with age.
Here is my DT card for the new challenge at CRAFT. We are sponsored by Some Odd Girl and Crimson Cloud. This week, our theme is Autumn. For my card, the image is by Some Odd Girl and the papers are by Summertime Designs. I have decoupaged a couple of leaves on the tree for depth. Please check out the rest of the DT's projects.

I still have a headache

Hi all,
I hope you had a wonderful weekend. Saturday was lovely and sunny, so we went to a local National Trust property as we are members. There's a great play area there. I was on the adventure playground bit with Daisy, but wasn't paying attention and hit my head on a wooden roof that was over the slide. Ouch! It still hurts now. On Sunday, Daisy and I went to our musical rehearsal. We've got the first parent's evening today at Daisy's school, so I'll be interested to know how she is doing, especially as she tells me nothing about her days.
Over at Incy Wincy, we are sponsored by Prairie Fairy. Our theme this week is recycle, so you can alter something or use a recycled item on your project. I have used a washing tablet box and changed it into a recipe box. I tear out so many recipes from magazines and thought it was time to keep them all in one place. The image is Chef Gillian by Prairie Fairy. I'm not sure about the paper as it was from my scrap box. The fabric flowers were from an old dress of Martha's that was too tatty to go to the charity shop. Please check out the rest of the projects from the DT.

Me again!

Please scroll down for my CRAFT DT card.

Hi again,
It's time for my weekly inspiration from the Digital Delights digi collections. Since I have been on the DT, I have made cards but also branched out into baby shoes, treat boxes and now a scrapbook page. I have decorated albums before, but this is the first time I have added a bit of journalling. The photos were taken two years ago and show Daisy indulging in one of her favourite pastimes - cooking (and licking the bowl!) In these, she is still wearing her pyjamas as she went through a phase of wanting to bake cakes as soon as she had breakfast, so she could have one for a mid morning snack. The paper is by My little shoebox and the images and sentiment are from the Baking Bears set by Digital Delights.

School food has changed

Hi all,
Yesterday, Daisy's school took part in the National Roast lunch day and so parents were invited to join the children for lunch. Hubby works from home on Wednesday, so he agreed to go (he quite likes to get involved as I seem to do more things as I'm around). Daisy has packed lunch normally, but agreed to a school lunch and apparently she ate it all, especially the apple crumble and custard! Martha and I didn't have anything quite as exciting at home.
It's time for another CRAFT challenge and this time we are sponsored by
who are offering 4 digis to the lucky winner. This week we have a little recipe for you. We would like to see two shapes, one ribbon and some glitter. I have used Mrs Claus by Sassy Designs. The papers were freebies from a magazines years ago and I think the ribbon was from Hobbycraft. My two shapes are a circle and a star. The glitter is there - on the bow and the santa hat. Please don't forget to check out the fab projects from the rest of the DT and check back here soon to see my Digital Delights project.
